Winchester/Daisy 1000S

I have a Winchester/Daisy 1000S that won't cock, I've tried all the suggestions on this site, none of the reply's seem to to understand the issue I'm describing.. Any recommendations on who to send it to to get repaired? Or is it even worth it, It's a $120 gun, anything over a $50 or $60 for repair would not make sense to me.

You may try to try to adjust the trigger to get it to cock if it still has resistance and just isn't catching and if nothing serious is broken and if its not modded incorrectly if it does not have any warranty.

Though many might not agree, at least I believe it is made in Turkey by Hatsan and worth getting it to shoot and once gone through it should get at least 1/2" at 20 yards and if not you can just recrown it yourself easily. You may not need to spend money to send it anywhere being out of warranty if you can adjust the trigger to get it to cock again if nothing else is broken. It might diesel a lot if you haven't shot it much because they tend to be overlubed from the factory. You just have to shoot it and don't lube it. It should get really close to the spec at 1000fps and cocking it will be harder than average FYI You have to give it a real quick and hard tug at the end of the cocking stroke to set the sear otherwise it may not catch.

You probably have a broke spring. I had one of those and I got many 1000's of shots out of the spring but had cleaned it and put heavy tar on the spring and choked the barrel as well. Mine was in fact a turkish gun but the barrel was not bad as some of the newer guns. If you can't work on the gun yourself 50-60 would just cover the cost to ship the gun back and forth to a tuner. Its a perfect opportunity to try your hand at fixing your own stuff with nothing to lose. .
