Wind wind and a touch more wind

Not the best of days here in middle TN but wanted to get the Arken matched up with the element helix 1500.

After zeroing I ran several strings through the chronograph. Fed the date into the app and then fine tuned the BC. No more turret tape, lase and dial…really like that. New to the Tiapan but my 1st 50m target was under a 1” on a day like today during a lull on the wind. Was able to record those and will post below. Still need to work the fps (+\-) to push the 35g Zan to see if it comes together more or spreads out but happy for now. Also shot the jsb 33.95’s and was right in there with the Zan.

Also tested the Scopemate s28. Gotta work on focusing better. The vid was after hitting the target with the laser and dialing in on a round tub with a 1” target sticker in the middle at 61m. At least you can see the sticker get tagged but really need to work on the focus bad.

So far liking the setup. And never knew working with a pcp could be so fun. Heavy rig but better than humping a 60 and getting shot at lol!

If it's as windy as you say, that's great! It looks like that's 5/8 of an inch center center.

That is impressive shooting considering the wind… What is the Arken device attached to your scope? Is it a LRF you can attached to most optics? Looks like a game changer for hunting and pesting…🙏
LL the scope brand is Arken. The scope cam is made by scopmate and is a S28. First time with it and finding out I really need to work on perralax adjustment to fine tune focus better. The reason we practice though I guess. Several vids out there on the scopemate cam

I have not gotten into PCP types, but am sticking to springers with a couple of SSP types. It is rather windy here in E. Texas this afternoon, weather says 12mph gusting to 18. I like to shoot at hanging soda cans with my pistols, a IZH 46m and FWB 65 & 80. The cans were bouncing around a bit too much for me to hit well, even with a rifle.

Wind and pellets are a bad combo. Small bore powder burners I can read wind to a point, not so much with pellets. Big advantage with the pellets though, is most of us have enough area in a garages or the house that you can set up range with your rifles or pistols even at shorter distances and come away fulfilled.

For me yesterday was one of those days of contending with wind, It was sun shine blue sky luring me out but after about 25 pellets I brought my rifle back in doors and called it a day; two would group and then a cork screw to a different POA...oh well....not the last day like the wife says;)

Life is Good!
