Winter Projects? Let’s see em!

What’s everyone been working on this winter? I get bored and tinker with a bunch of random hobbies. I have a P-Rod back on the bench now. I experimented with the usual B-Staley, HS, TP, etc. Just added a Hill lightweight hammer. Only shot a few strings, but it’s surprisingly pretty consistent.
Gun shoots great but I’m sure I’ll get bored and add a reg. Only so much you can do with a P-Rod.If I’m ever happy with tune, I got this pretty wood stock for it haha. I’m having fun and learning. That’s all that matters.
Anyways enough rambling

What’s everyone got on the bench? Any recent projects? Let’s see em💪

Working on a .224 build based on a disco platform. Cothran stainless tube, magnum air valve, side lever Breech , power adjuster, tj barrel, marauder trigger group…. Ordering a Crosman challenger trigger guard and last, I need to have some barrel bands made by someone.
You went all out on that build. Make sure to post pictures when your done.

If I may...where did you source that beautiful stock?

HW50s with the stainless action. I call her “The misses”. I decided to dress up “The Misses” in fancier clothes. I bought a spare stock from Alsky just in case I made a disastrous mistake, but so far so good. In a few weeks I hope to get to AOA in person and give her some new glasses. When spring comes she’ll look as pretty as all the other girls at the MAFTA range in Oakdale, MN. I’ll be making a stock for “The Mistress” sometime, but that may take a while.

Well, just another 22XX bottle build, has a Cothran valve and a 24" LW .25 barrel.Been using a paintball reg, but just switched over to a Huben Cricket adjustable reg, much more consistent, will post pics and chrony numbers if can ever catch up on the "honey doos"

Not too shabby, got the reg output set around 2100 psi. Switched the reg gauge to a 3000 psi unit, better resolution.

I was considering trying to do something similar with a 22xx and marauder trigger setup. Any tips or info you can share on your experience? Im not looking for power, 12fpe.

I hope to get this 1322 converted to HPA. I just received a coversion parts kit and own the bottle if it isn't too large in diameter. I have no pictures as I haven't graduated dinosaur kindergarten yet. Maybe my seven year old great grand daughter can help with the tech photos. Be Well Brothers, 'dito. PS that bottle would be large enough to be the oversized fore end. B.

A standard disco tube is rated for 2000 psi should be plenty for what you’re doing and give you a ton of shots. The marauder trigger group when putting it on a disco platform requires a shim which I think is available through either Magnum air or archer.

A standard disco tube is ready for 2000 psi and should work well for what you’re doing and give you a ton of shots. When installing a marauder trigger group on a disco tube it requires a shim which I believe either archer or Magnum Air May carry. Also I believe the standard barrel bands will work also. Power adjusters are readily available for those it makes it very easy to adjust down or up if you so desire, well worth the small investment

So Id need a Discovery air tube, valve etc..to be able to use the marauder trigger group. Id be building from the ground up for a pistol, not rifle. I already have a 1720T and a custom 2240 that are amazing shooters but I just like the marauder trigger better. Its not worth an entire build at this time but could be a fun slow project.

I'm working on shortening a BRK, Sniper XR (300mm cylinder).
When complete the shroud will end just before the short 300mm air cylinder. As short as I can make it with the larger diameter 0dB muffler in place.

Mike
That’s a great idea. Stinks when guns have big empty shrouds that do very little. Then you add a mod and it’s not so compact anymore.
If you remember send me pictures when it’s done.I considered a Sahara myself. Would be more appealing to me if it could be kept around 30”- with a moderator.

Should be between 30-1/8" and 30-3/8" overall.

Unless I can dig up a shorter, smaller in diameter, muffler before I get the shroud welded. Would be GREAT if I can find a muffler that's the "same" diameter as the shroud. Then, the end of the muffler will end at the end of the air cylinder.
