Winter Safari, January 10, Haverhill, Massachusetts

Hi all, 

The Haverhill Hound, Rod & Gun Club Air Rifle Club in Haverhill, Massachusetts is holding a Winter Safari. 

You'll shoot 50 shots with rifles at 50 feet, 15 shots with pistol at 25 feet. The targets consist of animal crackers glued on cardboard. 

When: Sunday, January 10th, starting at 11:00 am 
Where: Haverhill Hound, Rod & Gun Club, 10 Larch Road, Haverhill, MA 
Entry fee: $10 
Details: .22 caliber max, no rifle scopes on pistols

That's great to hear, John. Yes, please repost wherever you think it is appropriate. I posted to the yellow forum last night, hopefully in the right place. Not familiar with the gta forum.

Sharon, I tried e-mailing Tim and it didn't go through. Can you tell me if the rifle and pistol shoots will be different events?

Hi Chasdicapua,

The rifle and pistol shoots are combined for an overall score. We are going to shoot one card of 25 animal crackers with rifles. Then we'll shoot one card of 15 animal crackers with pistols. Then we'll do one more card of 25 with rifles. 

I hope that still sounds appealing. There may be a separate award for high score pistol and high score rifle. Your question made me think of that. Thanks! We like giving stuff away.
