Would you purchase a custom HW30 rifle stock if offered? Let's show them.

Yep, although CS in the UK does not think there is much interest. LOL Just so no one thinks I am making things up, here was their response to me.

"Hi, It is unlikely we will make a customstock to fit the HW30 ,the costs involved for the development or very high for the amount of potential orders"
I think this post is intended to show them other wise. Pass the cost on to the consumer .

If they make one, then at some point in the next 18 months I will likely buy it. It does sometimes require that the stars line up correctly or something before I drop $450 on an airgun stock, but I've done it twice in the past and the HW30 is a rifle that would be seriously improved by it, so it's not entirely idle talk.

Remember that the U.S market is probably not their bread and butter. Americans are cheap. Plus by encouraging them to make a HW30 model, stock makers like Steve Corcoran will be affected. He makes the stock for the HW30. And it’s a higher quality stock than what Cutomstocks Ltd puts out. I have several of both. Steve uses a superior grade of Walnut to start with. And he’s probably a less expensive.

Steve Corcoran does so well with the HW30 he started making a left hand version. While he is not taking orders anymore, I’m certain that if members here emailed him for them, he would put some out for sale. He sells everything he makes quite quickly. This is his first HW30 “lefty”. It cost $485 shipped.

And for comparison purposes these two “left hand“ Customstocks Ltd, I ordered, were over $500 each. One for the HW97 and the other the HW98. Both an upgrade to “Select Walnut”. You do not know what you’re getting when ordering. This is why Steve Corcoran sells after he makes it. Then the customer can see exactly what they are getting. The 98 stock is a far nicer piece of wood than the 97 is. Both the same price. It’s a crap shoot.

What is the weight difference with that awesome stock. I know that's not a huge issue, but one of the draws to the little HW is the light weight.

It’s an unnoticeable difference. Beechwood is heavy also. The 30 is so short and light the weight difference is something I have never noticed .

I agree with you,but to get Steve to make the stock can be a pain,I have already failed trying.Maybe I will try again after Easter.
Just try an email that you are waiting to see a HW30 right hand stock for sale and please email you back when one is finished. He will. Watch his sight daily. Just don’t expect a response other than one that is up for sale. He doesn’t want to get in a back and forth with tire kickers. To much wasted time. Once you buy, he’s all about pleasing his customers.

Yours is one of the stocks he has pictures of on his springers stock page, right?
Yes. It’s the first lefty he made for the HW30. I think he cut off the “custom ordering service” to be more cost efficient with his product. Time is money whether in the shop or on the phone. His prices are less than when he was taking custom orders. Here is his link.
