WRABF…..ERABSF…..USARB 25 meterTarget post 11/30/15

"Coldking"Lookin Good Jimmy- the trick is practice and having a really stable shooting platform - in my humble opinion, you've got to have a solid (preferably concrete ) shooting table -
but a wobbly bench will ruin even the best of setups -
good Shooting nomojo65 !
Keep em coming guys!
Peace and bullseye Grease!

P.S
and concrete is relatively inexpensive once you make a form. Then simply pour the top.and use cinder blocks as the pedestal base
im surprised that Gun clubs still use wooden benches - seems like it would be more labor intensive to build wood benches ?

If everyone has a wobbly bench, then there's a level playing field. Let's see who does the best with it.

hre ya go Paul

Would be great if all clubs had concrete — but it is what it is –
‘I’m really telling the guys – that to hit the Magic 750s – you’ve really got to start from the bottom up- why spend a 1000 dollars on a 28 lb uber stable rest only to sit it on a flimsy table?
use a house building analogy – you’ve got to start with a solid foundation in order to have a stable structure —RIGHT?
Salty I thought you were going to say— your an old man trapped in a young mans body!😬

P.S - looking forward to your match in November, Paul

You know it's funny you said that Kim, I've thought that same thing at times! especially if the wind is consistent right to left, left to right, head and tail winds mess with my head?, by the way I scored those targets @ 1=248 12X, 2=247 5X. This is with a .22 scoring plug, and my targets are just printed on 81/2x11 copy paper, not official targets!

Good looking cards NOMOJO 65 -
'just practice in all types of conditions - sometimes I feel a slight wind from either R/L or L/R improves perceptions 😬
For me it's just shooting in every possible scenario -even then the wind can play havoc with you.
Youll note that even in what is considered dead calm- outdoors - breezes can and do affect trajectories - shooting LV is the most challenging in any type of wind- those little 8 grain pellets being pushed at 12 FTLb energy is a real hair puller!!
Plus thermals coming off the ground as well
I guess indoor shooting would be the only place were the conditions are completely stable? But if a giant A/C unit comes on,and your near a supply vent ----
'Keep up the practice !

Thanks COLDKING,Those targets you have been posting are awesome! I have a lot to learn, My range is in my back yard on a hill with trees on either side (sounds perfect!) but it creates a tunnel effect with a vertical component and the wind flag tails are constantly dancing up and down! I either try to shoot in dead calm ( for groups, testing pellets etc.) or with a steady wind.
