I originally purchased this Beeman R9 from Mike Melick/Flying Dragon Air Rifles in summer of 2020 and quickly thereafter purchased the Williams FP-AG peep to replace the *excellent* Weihrauch adjustable rear sights to set the rig up as my open-sights backyard plinker. It has a lively, snappy shot cycle and sends H&N FTTs 8.64gr downrange with authority at 840fps for 13.5FPE.
At 25m, I'm hitting 1" inch spinners all day long standing unsupported. Scoped, it will be a deadly and accurate hunter for all your typical .177 and .22 airgun quarry out to 50yds with ease. A respectable number of squirrel, pigeon and rabbit have met their maker thanks to a pellet out of this classic rifle in my hands. I'd describe the cocking stroke as reassuringly firm and smooth at approximately 35lbs. My only reason for moving it on: I've a HW35E coming in this week which will become my preferred break-barrel hunter for the foreseeable future.
I'll also entertain trades for Weihrauch, AA, Walther and other classic springers. In particular, the Walther LGV Master Pro, HW77K or HW50S.
