Events XFT at PRGC on 02/25/2023

There will be an Xtreme Field Target match on Feb 25th at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club.

Sight in from 1130ish to 1230ish with shooters meeting at 1230, as soon as pistol powder-burner shooters finish out their match.

And I'm told we "should" be able to sight in out to 100 yards under the covered range this month.

Since the makers of the best field targets money can buy are both a part of these matches, you just never know what you're going to get to shoot at. This was a new one they added for the first time last month.

One week away!….Bringing a “virgin” EFT shooter with me from Oregon. Going to let him shoot Skeletor, while I try to shoot the Delta Wolf (Lupo Nero).

Well as of last night it appears we will have a husband & wife team with us from Oregon.....It's always fun watching new folks hit their first target on the course. We (Barb and I) well maybe it should be just Barb will work with them using buck and sticks before the match.

@pesty3782, that's awesome that you're bringing some more friends!

After speaking with the Phoenix Rod and Gun reps, Ben asked that I clarify the times here. We will have a short 30minute window to verify dope. That will be at 1130 with the shooters meeting to follow and match to start shortly thereafter. Ie, if you'd like to verify your point of impacts, be there no later than 1130. And we will get to stretch it out to 100 yards up on the covered range like we have in the past.

Also, this is what range reps are passing on, but be aware that situations change and we're at the mercy of other matches. Basically, if the previous match goes long, we just have to deal with it. Sorry, and yes it's potentially frustrating, but that's simply how it is.

I'm excited for the match and planning on being there!

Well it looks like just Troy and I will be coming. Troy will be shooting Skeletor and I might just bring out Buster, my 22 ghost carbine for fun....What can go wrong? winds starting at 5-10 mph in the morning and 15-25 mph in the afternoon.
