Xtreme Field Target @ Phoenix Rod and Gun Club on Saturday 4/22.

Normal time...sight in around 1130 and match will start whenever the pistol match in front of us ends, usually 1230ish.

High temp should be in the low 90s, might be the last daytime XFT match of the spring with semi-bearable temps.

Power limit of 100fpe. Steel knockdown targets from 20-100 yards. Pick yer poison; pellets, slugs, or subsonic rimfire. Shot from bucket/stool and sticks.

$20 entry fee, sign up through Practiscore or cash in hand pre-match.

Who is planning on coming this month?

I've had one of @zx10wall's .22 Vulcan 3s on loan for a couple months now, intent was to shoot slugs from it at an XFT match. Looking like this 4/22 match might finally be the chance for that. Just wondering if I'll be the lone slugger.

I'm rather anti-slug, having had far too many poor accuracy experiences with them.....but from the two little shooting sessions I had with the V3 when it first arrived a couple months ago, it just might be the one to change my mind about slug accuracy.

And yes, Derrick/Tenacious knows how to get the most out of a platform.

Just checked the weather for the match site and I'm seeing 5-10mph coming out of the west. That'd be mostly a tailwind, which is what I had for my three dope gathering sessions with the Vulcan 3 and slugs at home. Oh yeah!!!

Come out on Saturday and join in the fun!
