Stoeger XM1 Bullshark .177

D was contacted by myself way back when he first said he was having an issue. Asked him to call so we can go over things and ultimately resolve whatever issue he was having. He does work a lot so I gave him my cell to reach me anytime he can.

D ultimately refused my services to have it either professionally gone through or possibly have it replaced if it came down to it. It is very unfortunate this path was chosen. D sounds like a very good guy with good intentions and I totally understand if he wanted to tackle an issue himself if it was truly something simple. Anything more than that it’s always best to reach out to us.
Oh this is 100% all on me. I hope it didn't come across that it had anything to do with you. It's why I'm more frustrated about it as I made a mistake.

Yes as a dairy farmer I get very very busy during winter and never have time nor the want to mess with my guns during it. Plus with 2 little ones and soon to be 3 I don't have much free time. We've had unusually nice weather recently so it's why I decided to try it. Unfortunately my ideas on the issues didn't solve my problem. I would have been way better off if I just sent it back but didn't think it was a big deal and ended up worse than I thought. Again all on me and I'll live with it.

Once I have more time I'll try to do all the usual barrel prep stuff. I'm sure I can get it shooting good just need the time. Lesson learned and again Rich this has nothing to do with you and you did your part and reached out I just got busy and never got back to it until now. Highly recommend your business to anyone, I just should have took advantage of it lol.

Glad to hear the supplier is trying to help.

All 3 of my P35s like heavy for caliber pellets and are picky. If I shoot Crosmans out of the 22, the most accurate, I get groups at least as bad as your examples, for instance. I also shortened the hammer spring on my 177 but didn't need to. But it may need to stick out a little. Only one of the 3 (the 25) really likes JSB pellets. I thought it was accurate until I got the 22 and 177. I decided the 25 needed a new barrel and ordered one from Krale. The new barrel is about the same accuracy as the original but prefers Baracuda pellets. Before the new barrel arrived I put on a bigger plenum and switched to JSB 34 grain and suddenly the accuracy was much better.

I doubt all this is useful but I hope something is. I would concentrate on Baracuda match pellets and make sure the hammer spring is a bit below the peak. Hopefully the other changes plus temporarily forgetting about 8 grain and JSB pellets will get you some good results. If you can get it to group with 10.6 grain maybe you can turn it down a bit and get the 8 grain to work. I shot 20 grain H&N FTT pellets in my 25 for a year and killed 18 squirrels with them. 34s shoot better but I did get decent results with light ones.
