Stoeger XM1 Bullshark .177

I have spoken with @Tango Sierra about making some xm1 magazines in all 3 calibers. Not sure where he is with that as that was a few weeks ago, but give it time!
One BIG question -

Is the probe / breach, 0-ring on the "probe" or in the "breach" ?

If it's on the probe, whoever builds magazines NEEDS to understand to make the "pocket" for the pellet, "smooth" so the o-ring doesn't slide on a rough surface. Rough surfaces and rubber...DON'T go well together !
I forgot which gun, but I have two magazines sitting on the shelf because of rough surfaces. I was going to try to smooth things, but havent so far.

In the breech

I ordered some of these. I think they should work well. I'll follow up my next post with what's happening to my pellets at least

So doing more investigations into what's happening is the pellet is getting smashed between the stopper and the revolver part of the mag. It's not only smashing them to be oval, it leaves a line down one side on the head and skirt. Tried with some 10.3gr i just got and does the same thing. Definitely makes sense why its not consistent with a mag. So far without a mag the little I've shot shows very good potential. Will be trying FX 10.3gr and 10.3gr MK3 knockouts whenever i have time.

What is it with the China guns and magazines. Seems like most have trouble and need aftermarket replacements . Probably will never change with the line of customers buying them .

Keep us posted with the pesting results after you get it sorted out . I've had a few pigeons fly off after a chest shot w my fwb 124 many years ago. But could have been poor shots . A .177 got me started in the hobby and I still like them .

Good point. Between this and the Notos that is interesting. These I think are a problem being metal if they were plastic I think they would be better surprising to say. I know I'm not the only one as one review had an accuracy problem with one mag while the other was good. I'm just the lucky one where both show the same accuracy problem lol. It's too bad as both guns are actually very nice for the money. But for my uses single shot is worthless. I like them enough that it's worth the money to get better mags for them but this one's sitting until I get mags

No way to break it open and see where it rubs? Should be some wear marks on it that can be filled to make some relief.
So it hits on the side of the feed ramp has shown here.

I can't say I see anything here to help with that. However on the revolver part there are tiny little lips on the edges which is what is leaving the line in the pellets.

But the problem is no matter what even on zero tension when it starts, the only pellet that doesn't get bent is the last one. Even with CPHPs. I wish I had my old MRod mags to compare to but I don't. Only ones I have are CARM for my Evol and the OEM mag. My Taipan is action rotated. Oh wait I have a Notos mag I can see of it damages pellets at all upon rotation.

It stinks you are having mag issues. I bought my bullshark used and the spring action doesn’t seem as strong as my other Snowpeak mags.
I have mags like the ones you purchased, the ones I have require a little plug that goes in the exit side to load. They have performed great, just like my CARM mags. I use the ones like you bought for slugs generally and the CARM for pellets. CARM don’t like slugs, at least the KO’s I use.
