Has anyone used the xt x3006 chronograph and what's everyone's thoughts on it

I use a garmin xero now and it’s the best I’ve ever used. Way overpriced but really high quality.

I have a pro-chrony, fx v1, and a couple of the type I showed above. Before the Garmin, I ended up only using the cheap ones above. I blew my first one off the end of my Texan during a valve dump and it still works after putting the pieces back together. I also shot one of the emitters off and replaced it with one from a tv remote and it still works.

What happened to yours? Most people like them.

Good luck,
Dave

I would shoot through it and it would say my .457 is doing like 2000fps

Air rifle pellets can be a *lot* harder for detection than airsoft, so the reliability of Airsoft kit can be hit & miss.
If you're pushing 22cal+ slowly (500-700fps) - probably okish in a lot of cases

xt-3006 - i've seen reports of issues with detection of .177's (UK forums)

I havent seen inside a 3006, but the typical airsoft ones are built pretty poorly from an accuracy point of view. (the orange shoot through ones i've seen inside of)
The method of assembly & internals mean it just cant be that accurate, expect a variation of at least 10-20fps @ 1,000fps best case.

Are cheap ok?
They definitely can be - depends on what you need it for. If you use them a lot & need a known accurate reading, maybe not.
If they are shown to be consistent with results & the overall number doesnt matter, then it'd be useful - you can shoot & get a number, do tuning & compare the new numbers.

I have used Fx v2 pocket,
that thing is terrible to use,
returned it.
now I m using pro chrono dlx bt version,
this thing eats batteries but it’s super fun to use…
I didn't have problems with FX v1 (except rarely it would not register a shot) but did not try v2. Should I stay away from v2?
