Oklahoma City Gun Club had our July 20th “X”treme Field Target Match. We had 16 people show up and try their hand, well skills to shoot from 20 yards out to 100 yards. We set out 15 targets and shot at them 4 times for a 60-round match. They are self-resetting and worked great! The weather was a little fiffy, or it seemed to be. We set up the range early that morning. The weather guys said it would rain but not until later in the day. Hmmm that didn’t pan out. After we set up and folks started to come to the range everything was on track to maybe hold up for us starting the match. No Way, the rain came in, not bad but it was here. Everyone was signed up and ready to shoot even in the rain. We let them get their sighters in praying it would stop raining. Well, it did pretty much that, all but stopped and we started the match. They went to their lanes and blasted away! After the smoke, well maybe the air from the muzzles cleared. Caleb came out on top with 57 hits! Nice. Tricky Ricky Cuccio was 2nd with 53! Davey Cole took the 3rd Spot hitting 52! Mr. Joe Underwood decided to unleash a 51 for 4th, good Joe. Then our own match director Pearl hit 50 for 5th. That’s the top 5 places.
Oh, the rain didn’t come back and haunt us for the rest of the day. Good planning everyone!
That’s a Rap.
