Results Xtreme FT Phoenix Grand Prix March 26/27, 2022

Hello, I just sent this as a suggestion to all the Board members involved in the rules etc. Please let us know what the shooters think of this idea.

Hello,

For incentive reasons and transparency. I think it would be a good idea to automatically enroll the top 5 finishers of every GP into the EBR roster as first to register. Unless they can not make the trip at the time of EBR. Then their spot would become a fill in with waiting list because there is ALWAYS a waiting list for FT at EBR.

I think it should be up to the participants to make sure they register in time if they want to enter. Not really fair (IMO) to give them an open entry if they do not keep track of registration schedule.

Martin,

I hate the heat as well and this is the first time I used a "cooling towel" or "cooling rag" around my neck. Saved me for sure in that heat!! Im going to get a new one to keep in my shooting bag for sure.

Barbara

That may be an option for me! And/Or get someone to carry an umbrella! Are umbrellas legal? Hook it to my bipod maybe?

Martin the reason I suggested that is what was stated in Board/zoom meetings. The statement was that EVERYONE would be first in line that participated in any of the GPs. I foresee a problem, because the Field Target venue fills faster than any other, or has in the past. So by at least registering the top 5 at every gp just reassures the top shooters they are in. I hope that makes sense.

Is there any way we could have a practice day on the course with only the longer targets set out? Maybe some paper targets right next to the steel?? I feel like most of the time I have no idea where to aim out to account for wind and really hope to somehow get that figured out a bit more at this location?! Sometimes, but very seldom, do I ever see where a pellet goes when I miss at the longer targets, or for that matter where a pellet hits on the paddle. Heck it could be that perhaps I'm hitting low or high and would like to get a better understanding of whats going on.

If this can be done it might be too late since its getting hot in Phoenix already but possibly next year??

Steve,

There is never a chance to practice. Since Practical pistol is always so busy. This is the main reason I am trying to do evening and night shoots. I have to demonstrate to range my idea. So they can approve or not. Wes and I had a 3 hr practice when i set up the new lanes #1,#3 but other than that there is no practice. Sorry. I am trying
