I’ve looked at some of the latest offerings from the big tradeshows recently, not in person, just on web and AGN. Giant yawn, and some going flat out butt ugly. I’ve bought/sold I think 13 PCP’s in the last
2 1/2-3 years. Each were very good rifles in the $1k to $2k realm. I like both the AR styling and traditional with a lean towards laminated stock traditional design.
The current design trend in PCP’s with CF tanks mounted all over the gun to me are just lame. I personally don’t care about high shot count so have settled on tube style PCP’s.
Curious how designers come to the conclusions of “what the shooters want”.
Currently, for me AAA in the Evol and Paradigm lines TOTALLY check every box. I have not gotten into the tuning thing and hope I never have to as I just enjoy shooting, and the rifles that I have bought and sold did that very well but when my two AAA’s met my hands I think (and I hope) I’m at total satisfaction.
Who knows what the future holds.
And BTW, PB manufacturers are also, in my opinion, turning out some truly hideous offerings as well.
