N/A Yet another buying help thread

Update on this... I think I've narrowed down my list to the Skout Evo and the Brocock Ghost, both initially in .22 caliber. They're both great and similar in price. How would you break the tie?
Electronic vs non-electronic preferences? Wanna shoot slugs? No Ghost then, at least until the finally get their slug barrels on the market (whenever that may be…). Evo feels at home on a bench. Ghost isn’t a super light carry around gun but in comparison it’s the way more agile/portable gun. Not to make your life even more complicated, but have you looked at the epoch compact?!

Edit: just read your initial post again, you’ll probably be happier with the evo since you want to bench it and probably shoot slugs…

I am a very biased air gunner but I can’t believe there is a better gun than the Maverick from FX. Shoots slugs or pellets with the right barrel liner, 2 regulators(very precise pressures),very large plenum(power!), excellent adjustable trigger, well constructed(high quality!) and many, many aftermarket upgrades are available. If you equip it with the “Shooting with Phil”easy tune micrometer-based hammer spring system($125), it becomes EXTREMELY easy to tune. The new AMP regulators are really, really good and are now standard.
And you get very high shot counts because or the tuning benefits and it is available on the FX Wildcat, too, which is on the same “base” as the Maverick!
Again a highly biased view but I’m very pleased with mine!!!
