Beeman Yet another R8 in the herd

Couldn't resist buying yet another R8....this makes 4 total. Unfortunately, this one is a little bit sad. Looks great, but the pellet doesn't even make it to the target at 20 yards.
Fortunately, I have tons of spares for it thanks to last year's R8 hoard purchase. I'm going to see if I can get it going again with some help from my fellow airgunner from Pellets and Pistons...Kevin. Hopefully he has time for me.
In the meantime, here's a couple if pics for your perusal.

It may be puny but sure looks good! Sounds like you have plenty of rescue bits already, but FWIW I've found Jim Maccari's stuff is great in those.

If you find another R8 hoard, dial your old friend Mike up, LOL!

Nice shootin’ iron! I put in an ARH spring kit in mine and it shoots great.

Wish HW would go back to the classic ‘Goudyesque’ stocks.

Of all places, I got my R8 on American Airgun several years ago.
Pretty sure I saw the featured R8 on a popular auction site recently.

I am going to set this one up just like yours. Even the Beeman marked Williams Peep. Yours is a beautiful R8!

I’ve read that you can increase the stroke on an R8 with good results.

I’m sure there is wiggle room,not for power but shot cycle .. I stroked both my Longbows for shot cycle and NO POWER gain as they use a heavy piston,that needs modding .

Was on a UK forum and it made more power (Not an HW99). You know how fussy they are about a calm cycle. I think I remember who posted it.

my only r8 it’s accurate and pleasant rifle to shoot all day . I have taken a few squirrels with it. Need to scope it and see how it can really shoot.

pretty! I have an HW95 I bought to run Irons only on, but it is tempting to scope it just to see what it will do.
