YOKE RIFLE REST

I had a plastic yoke I used on my Manfrotto camera tripod for shooting in the basement and at the range. My tripod got knocked over and the yoke snapped half the yoke off. I needed a replacement yoke.

I knew of a local machine shop that makes rifle and camera rests for bench, field and tree stand use. I went to their website, www.huntxtraarm.com and saw that they offered an extruded aluminum vinyl dipped yoke with either a 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 female thread for $19.00.

It is a rock solid yoke and know it will never break should I knock my tripod over again. The link below is for the yoke on their website.

That's a real nice y-yoke! I use a cheapie one I got from amazon that I have on a tripod for ratting purposes with my Notos. That one looks solid! Have a really old Bogen/Manfrotto aluminum tripod that is HEAVY, I now have a smaller lighter carbon fiber one also from amazon with the y-yoke. Back in the day there were only a few tripod manufacturers now there are a plethora to choose from.
