Yong Heng (and other) Leaks?

One of the problem areas I've been dealing with on my Yong Heng compressor are leaks in the various pipe and hose fittings. I can tell when the hose fittings are leaking because I either can feel the air leaking out or the fittings are cold to the touch. The latest one is coming from the brass quick disconnect (QD). I could feel cold air, but then jiggling it would make it disappear. After much jiggling, I finally looked inside and found there are two O rings. I pulled them out with a dental pick and found one of them mashed. There were some spare O rings that came with the compressor, so I replaced the bad one and the problem was gone. FWIW.

I've learned to try to avoid any unnecessary fittings & qd's when it comes to our compressors. I see 4 potential leak areas in your picture that could be avoided by putting a 1/8 threaded female to male foster directly on the threaded end of hose on left & it would connect into the brass qd. By losing the 45 degree fitting, the short nipple & the silver qd you'd remove potential leak sources (but I also figure you had your reasons for setting it up that way).
