Yong Heng compressor what am i doing wrong

Pressurized air from compressor SHOULD be able to depress the pin (valve). Once filled to required pressure check valve SHOULD keep air in cylinder. That's when all residual line pressure is bled off and fill fitting removed. If ALL air is being lost the check valve is not working correctly. The manual above describes this too. Notice it say to lube (sparingly) the threads & oring on the adapter.

That's interesting. If you check page 28 of the manual at pilkguns, it has an added sentence after "...close again after about one minute.":
>> "The intermediate pressure should be released on the adaptor with the release screw."
Apparently at some point, the adaptor was built differently!

"
I agree but with ubiquitous compressors & hand pumps "bleed off" method is built into those.

So this adapter that came with this air pistol, has a hole. When I unscrew the cylinder, air escapes and I imagine the valve on cylinder closes as pin isn't depressed at this point. But it takes a good few turns for this to happen.
I am not at a point that my cylinder is damaged and I have to order new ones. But I cannot find the adapter with a screw online. I am hoping the black adapter that I can order online, might have more depth and not press the pin. That's based on the assumption that you guys said, pin doesn't need to be depressed.

Can you depress cylinder check valve by hand, like with an o-ring pick or dental pick or the like? If so, put a drop of silicone in there & work the valve a few times & try refilling again. I still think it's the cylinder check valve.

I have removed air by pressing the pin. Ones air is removed, the pin moves freely.
The grey adapter inside depth is the same as the cylinder threads + pin. So mechanically the pin will always be depressed when adapter is used. It's either a design flaw or I have to get the correct adapter. I have ordered one already. Will report back once I get it.

Ok. So need advise on this guys.

I used two o ring on the silver adapter. Each with 3mm CS. I can now fill the cylinder and then use bleed valve. Because of the two o rings, the pin on the cylinder does not get pressed. This means I can de pressure the system.

The issue with two o rings is that I an only screwing in the cylinder for 3 or 4 heads instead of 6 / 7. Is this a concern?
