Yong Heng junk!!!!! Time for a altaros booster pump

Sorry for your troubles but judging from your past posts, sometimes dangerous ideas & attempts to make equipment do what you WANT it to do NOT what it's DESIGNED to do I have a strong suspicion that the failure is due to user error & not the fault of the equipment. Mine lasted 3.5 years before it was replaced with a new one that works even better.

About 64 hrs on my YH, rebuilt it third time last week. For myself alone investing $100 a year into a full cylinder head kit is worth the money.
I have three large 144cc scba and usually refilling from <200 bars to >280 ish bars. And sometimes I am reckless with maintenance....
If you can control the Temp well it will last you long.

Exactly and i will add : just because the compressor instruction say it will fill tanks does not mean it will last . Advertising is misleading because Under controlled Laboratory conditions it works ,does not imply it will do what they say in your basement .

What's everyone's thoughts on a altaros booster pump I'm sick of these junk ass Chinese compressors how long does it take to fill a 45 min 66cf tank from 3000psi to 4500psi...

For every guy like you, there's many many more that like them. Yours look like crap, rust, grunge all over it. I have one that's been running for 10 yrs. With a piston swap every couple years. I use it every day

Don't forget, "our boy" here is an impatient young man. A Yong Heng will definitely fill a tank to 4500psi (I recommend not pushing it over 4200-4250psi) but HE thinks 45 minutes is too long to wait. Others (like us) are perfectly willing to be gentle & PATIENT in order to be air independent. His impatience is his problem! It doesn't negate the facts that A) Yong Hengs work & B) they make no guarantees on HOW FAST they'll fill, only that they WILL fill!

That's an excellent point. Based on that, we should probably tell him straight up that he would hate the Altoros booster pump or anything like it. It's a great pump that will last and last, but it is a slow one. Unless you have access to a very large high capacity shop compressor, they run slower than the trusty old Shoebox compressors do - and those (which I use and absolutely love) are tortoise-like com compared to a Yong Heng (but work great as a set it and forget it compressor that will last for many years with very little maintenance).

impatient young man ? don't know . but i am an impatient old fart ! and just would not put up with a failed air supply . i hate to work on greasy things . I take my cars to a shop and say "fix it " "fix it right so i won't be bothered again " .

My Yong Heng has been running great for the last 5 years when I bought it new. The only thing I have done is change the oil regularly and keep the lines dry after use. I also let it cool down between uses. Given, I don't fill bottles larger than 500cc. I use mine to fill my PCPs directly. For a cheap pump, it has served me well. I am however interested in the Hill EC3000 when my Yong Heng finally gives up the ghost.

Going on year 4 with my YH, I'll look at the hour meter to see the actual pumping hours but I fill two 65L tanks twice weekly from 3k to 4k.

I use the pump that came with it, water is at room temp, sits on 30 gallon cooler with a 50:50 blend of antifreeze and RO water.

I have a high-speed, high-volume fan blowing across the fins and motor but that's it.

I think you just did. If he's pissed about the time it takes to fill a 45 minute tank with a YH, a booster pump ought to send him through the roof!!!

Maybe it was half my fault my water hose had a bunch of trash in it and I didn't know and it clogged it up I cleaned it out everything good there but the threads got messed up from the factory im gonna fix the threads with a tap ive had it for 7 months
What "THREADS" exactly got messed up?

I don't mind waiting and I never complained about Yong Heng filling time

You must have gotten a bad one. Did you get an extended warranty?

I've had it for 7 months water wouldn't come out the return line I fixed that then the aluminum block just broke off and the threads for the pipe on the other block stripped out never even been into it they cross threaded it from factory... I will gladly pay 900$ for well built booster pump to fill my tanks and guns.
