So my yong heng has to get to 300 bar or so to bring my wildcat to 220. Has gotten progressively worse. Is it ok to unscrew all th fittings to tape them?
I get yer drift! But dont you turn it off under pressure when it has reached target pressure? Or Im doin sumthin wrong? The most common & successful method of finding leaks on the YH is to use a dead head plug on fill whip, let pressure build substantially then turn off YH while under pressure then use soap spray on every single external fitting & connector, anywhere it could leak. A common place for leaks is the dowty seal (bonded washer) on top of High Pressure cylinder. Usually just needs tightening or replacing that seal which should have come with YH spare parts. DON'T make a habit of stopping under pressure but it's OK in this case.

And will any of the pcp compressors auto shutoff at a settable pressure? And thanks!I get yer drift! But dont you turn it off under pressure when it has reached target pressure? Or Im doin sumthin wrong?
You don't have to get to "target pressure" to check for leaks. THAT should be your 1st step in figuring out what's going on. Just build some back pressure in the system with a dead head & search for leaks.I get yer drift! But dont you turn it off under pressure when it has reached target pressure? Or Im doin sumthin wrong?
