Yong Heng temp gauge

I am a total newbee to PCP. Bought a Yong Heng compressor even before buying a gun.

Question: where does the temp gauge sensor need to be located? Added batteries and it works but all I have it a wire, sensor and an open hole for the gauge. Nothing in the almost useless instruction booklet.

The sensor just fits into a hole in the base of the lower part of the bottom cylinder. Simply slips in. Some have suggested a heat transfer paste in the hole but I don't know that it makes any difference.

There's a tiny hole in the bottom cylinder. It just plug in. It's loose but it's fine.
