Alpine,
Sounds good, Smarketbuy has been noted as a seller of authentic Yong Hengs. No problem not buying "Auto Shut-Off" or "Set Pressure" models, "Hardcover" is felt best as has Cyclonic Water Seperator that "Simple" model lacks. Been in the Yong Heng game little over two years, haven't seen one without digital temperature display, takes two #357 batteries, or L44, but won't last as long. Best of Luck, WM

thanks, I think I am getting the hardcover, with the digital display. Will look for those batteries, and maybe another display, I use them for my boilers, extras.
There is a digital version of the Yong Heng, doesn't have a pressure gauge, just a digital manometer display. This version is expensive so when you mentioned digital thermometer figured you meant digital temperature display, now I'm not sure. If your Yong Heng has a gauge, you'll need batteries for digital temperature display, if no gauge and a full digital display, not sure batteries are needed. Photo, or price, if willing to share, will provide answer. WM

It should be arriving tomorrow. 71+-giEua5L._AC_SL1500_.jpg71SRonZSWeL._AC_SL1500_.jpg81ACqblWkzL._AC_SL1500_.jpg71E0-+jlPvL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

OK, so not a digital Yong Heng. If advertising photos are to be believed (sellers infamous for playing fast and loose) you have a Hardcover model. Set Pressure and Auto-Stop models have a red plastic knob in middle of gauge glass face and a Simple model has no Cyclonic Water Seperator, clearly visible in #2 photo. You've chosen well, fingers crossed it's the real deal. WM

Alpine,
Congratulations, zooming in on metal ID plate I see YongyIheng Pneumatic Company, a good sign it's authentic. The white-lettered "Yong Heng," on compressor side, is another clue of authenticity. Looks just like mine, a Set Pressure Model. 10mm is thread size of hoses and fittings. White, Delrin "donut" washers, at the base of threaded holes, provide sealing as hoses, gauges and brass fittings tighten against, no Teflon tape needed. Check out "spare parts" bag, several Delrin washers included. Here's my set-up, be glad to help, just "reply" to one of my posts so I'll be alerted. WM

Congratulations. I think I have the same model and it has worked well for me for a couple years now. I use it to fill a 45 minute SCBA tank. I filled guns with it at first and just used the stock air filter but I've added another filter now that is full of color change dessicant. I arrange the filters vertically above the YH so water comes back to the compressor and I open it's vent every 5 minutes. I use Nuvair oil. I did not want the auto shut off model, I wouldn't trust it anyway. I've had to replace the temperature gauge once and the O-ring close to the reed valve once. I recommend getting a few temperature gauges and a bag of air filters from Aliexpress. I change the white absorbent filter each run. It is not always real wet but it always has at least a bit of oil on it. They are cheap from alliexpress.

There are 3 different yong heng compressors on Smarketbuy. A 110v/12v for home and truck at $260, a shop model without auto shut-off for $290, and one with auto shut-off for $330. All can be purchased with 4 yr extended warranty for $50. I already have multiple alum & steel scuba tanks that can be over-pumped to 3600, so I’m not really considering the 12v option. Is this a good deal? Would you pay for extended warranty? Why do some purchase without auto shut-off? Is it price only? Or other considerations? I’m just getting started so thanks for your time. My new Notos will soon have many siblings.

I watch the temp and listen to mine as I fill it, I can hear it starts to work a bit harder at 3300, this is high enough for my use every 2 weeks, so I stop it there. The Yong Heng gauge says 3800, it is actually 3300 as I check the tank after, with 2 other better verifiable gauges, maybe a bad offset on mine. I refill at 2800, and go to 3300, approx 15 minutes, running at 40 to 44 Celsius. I ordered the hardback, and they sent me an auto shut off, I bypassed the auto, and use it manually.

The oil you use is critical! Check out what other members use. Very high quality only. 2 that are mentioned most often, Seco and Mobil 827 Rerus.
Also mentioned by YH users: Do Not Start or Shut off under load and Watch the Temp. Ice jug in water and fan blowing on cast iron cylinder are helpful.
Some use a little anti-freeze in the water. Care taken now will ensure a long life for the YH. Bill

The auto off function always shuts off under load with no harm. I agree with the start up under load is bad but no worries about turning it off under load at all.

Nuvair 751 is a breathable SCBA compressor oil as well, if you have any concerns about breathing finely misted oil from the bleed off, this is your oil.
