Looked like rain, easy, gun day. 4 - 97’s, one of each cal. Here’s the clan. A little mix.

HW98k lam. .177.

HW97k lam. Stainless .20

HW97k .22 my first of 6

HW97kt .25
First I scoped the four to 30 yds. Distance of the target. New target. 10 shots each. First two rows, total 80 shots consecutive, switching guns after 20 rounds. After supper I shot last row 10 each.

I fed the.22 JSB’s 15.89, it’s about my only gun that doesn’t like them. Not fair comparison. Unfortunately I was stubborn and wouldn’t switch.
I’m not a great shooter. A few members do better with Diopter’s, all in good fun.
All are factory except the .20 has a Vortek spring in it. It’s sound is in a league of its own. The other three had a twang.
The 25 was solid, I pulled 3 on first target. The .177 did a solid performance. Handling the .177 round is my biggest beef.
I liked the .20 and the .25.
Some of you guys are wicked shooters with awesome guns. Let’s see your 97’s and your performance with it.

Nice, Crow. Nothing wrong with that, good shooting. Here’s one from a couple days ago Kim and I playing around at 25 yards. Upper right target contains 6 shots. 5 are from the HW97K long barrel that I got from @Lewis. Upper right shot in that target is actually a sighter from the .22 Logun Mark II Pro. Came back later and filled it in with the HW97K. Tremendous gun, thanks Lewis! Center bulls are same size as a dime. The rat target is 6 from the Logun. Neat gun, but not a springer.

Those rifles are amazing! but that range shows me how truly blessed you are
Thanks. The range is never finished. 1 1/2 yrs ago it was a dump site. Crow
Awesome! I use the same targets and trap at home. Great setup.
Love all the guns but the silver and blue is a beautiful combination.
Thanks. Have 3 traps at different distances. The biue and silver is easy on the eyes. Crow

Thanks. That’s what I was trying to do.
HW97k long, wouldn’t it just be a HW97?
Crow
Wow, wow, wow! Those are gorgeous. Would like to see the .22 groups with pellets it likes. I have to make time to shoot mine. One day my me-projects and honey-do's will slow down so I can get to my spring guns. Just living vicariously through you for now, lol. Thanks for posting!
Thanks Chris. I’ve held the .22 to shoot today with different round.
‘Projects and honey-do are exempt on rain days. Crow
@crowski - Nice shooting, try a soft cotton cloth on the front bag. Have you tried the H&N FTT .22 553's? Great pellet.
Thanks. I’ve seen lot of similar setups with less friction. I’ll try, needed a wake up call.
I thought the JSB’s were the one. Jumped on the band wagon.

I have a few H&N’s .177. Will get some .22 cal. Crow

So does Lewis LOL. To my knowledge they don’t make it in lefty, much less walnut. It is an ambi stock and easy to load from either side.

“Thanks. That’s what I was trying to do.

Thats a question for HW. Their terminology, not mine. Had a laugh about it when I first got it. See below.

Interesting. Somebody messed up. Doesn’t make sense, but their gun, they can call it what they want. Crow
Still a beauty.

I think you right. Didn’t have any H&N in .22 cal. but did in .177. Thanks Crow
Good shooting rifles. But nothing if not in the hands of a good shooter too. You did good crow. Thank you for the nudge.
Thanks and you’re welcome. Crow
I just bought a HW77 long in ambi stock ,just looked . but i can switch my Custom UK stock from my 97K . It is the same cut internally in the stock .
or i can use the synthetic original 97 stock on the 77 .
Don’t know, never tried. I would suspect them to fit one another. I hope they do. Crow
