You gotta see this! FX Impact .25 with INSANE ACCURACY: Tuned by SPAW!

I finally took the plunge into the world of FX Airguns! Watch here:

After doing a TON of homework on this rifle, I knew I needed to partner with an FX Airguns subject matter expert and close ties with FX USA. That airgunner is Ken Hicks with Southern Precision Arm Weapons (SPAW). Ken works closely with Ernest Rowe at FX Airguns and if there are two people in the FX universe you should know - it is those two dudes! Make sure to check out the FX Airguns Master Class. Best technical information on the Internet! https://www.youtube.com/user/FXAirguns

When I reached out to Ken and told him I was ready to jump into FX, he took an MKI Impact and tuned and modded it into a tack driver more powerful than a stock Impact MKII .25. He tuned it down for pin point accuracy, but the power is there to crank it up if I want to swap out the barrel for slugs. Watch this video and you will know why I won't be swapping out that barrel anytime soon for the slug liner because this thing is spot on accurate! Check it out and visit: https://spaweapons.com/

Awesome! Can you share velocity, what pellets, reg. setting, valve setting, etc... Thanks and again, awesome. I just started pushing mine past 150yds. last week and am loving the accuracy. Still waiting for my slug liner.

Some information from the comments of the video: "933 FPS with JSB Match Diabolo Exact King MKII Heavy .25 Cal, 33.95 Grains"

Thanks, I assumed it was with the 33.95’s but I was on a break and fast forwarded through parts of the video. I didn’t hear 933fps either. What I’m really curious about is the reg setting hammer spring pre load and valve adjustment. Thanks, I appreciate it.

That wasn't in the video. It's in the text comment section below the video. I'm also interested about the settings.

Insane accuracy but don't show groups? Smh. I was expecting paper targets with group size so we can see how good it really is. Just hitting metal trap at 150 yards. I can do that with my marauder .22. smh. I was expecting under .5 inches at 50 yards 10+ shot groups when you said insane accuracy. Guess not.

Do you always come across this way?

One can get an idea of the group size by paying attention to the video footage. And hitting a golf ball at that distance is a testament to the accuracy.

If you haven't seen any of his other videos, you might check them out if you have the time. This guy knows what he's doing and wouldn't claim that kind of accuracy if it wasn't the case. Besides, the mosquitos were chewing him up.......I wouldn't have measured the groups either after being out there that long.

Psssst.... Did you see I mentioned that it was a 3 inch spinner I was smacking over and over and over (x 28 times)? Do you really need to see calipers to see that was a pretty impressive 100 yard shot group? I do apologize if that shot group was disappointing. Hitting that golf ball in 3 shots at 150 yards must have been completely underwhelming as well! Thanks for watching though! HA!

HA! Thanks Bob! I bet you are very familiar with the Michigan state bird well (the mosquito)... You think shooting in the wind is bad - try being covered in mosquitos! Hey Bob - just a heads up, but you probably already have heard.... For some reason we are having an EPICLY bad tick season too. I came home after shooting prone that day with 3 ticks on the back of my neck right at my hairline and one in between my toes! NASTY THINGS!

Thanks for watching! I will be totally honest. I have no idea what Ken had this set at and furthermore, it probably wouldn't help anyway as the internals on this thing were totally gutted and modified. I know for sure it has the Ernest Rowe Power Kit installed, but there are a few goodies in there Ken has cooked up. Ya - it was confusing that I mentioned the magazine being able to hold slugs. I was shooting the JSB MKII 33.9 .25 cal pellets. He has this rifle able to sling those over 75 FPE, but tuned it down for accuracy and giving me 933 FPS. We have this modded to be able to sling slugs with authority and have the slug liner too. With it shooting like it is now I think I am going to leave it as my main precision pellet rifle and stick with my Texans for slugs (for now). Before any trolls try to call me out on the fact that there were 28 shots with the Side Shot .25 cal magazine that normally only holds 26 shots - this is either a prototype of a new magazine or something new FX is coming out with to be able to hold longer slugs. I need to check with Ken to find out what is up with that, but I was surprised too when I reviewed the video and saw that I had 28 shots in the magazine! This was literally the first time I shot this thing. Stay tuned for more!

can you explain when you said your magizine is for slugs ? is this stock ? and what were you shooting pellets or slugs? and how much power at this group ?

I am shooting pellets in this video at 933 FPS with the MKII JSB 33.9 grain pellets. I am not sure if the magazine I have in this rifle is using an updated stock FX Sideshot magazine - but come to find out it has a 28 shot capacity! Normally .25 cal has 26 shots. I think I might have a prototype or FX is modifying what comes with the MKII Impact to hold 28 shots with a deeper magazine for slugs. I will find out and report back.

This guy's enthusiasm is contagious!

Thanks man! I fricken love this sport! For my day job I sit behind a computer all day long and being able to get out and shoot is a HUGE stress reliever! There are a lot of airgunners that try to take on this military "operator" / wanna be sniper attitude and I find it kind of funny. I was in the Army for quite a few years as a tank gunner and sometimes it was fun and sometimes it was hell. The further away I get from my military service years the more fond my memories are - put it that way. Airgunning is fun - so let out your YAWP! I know every one of you have it in you. Fricken get out there and have FUN!

Airmanator,

Shooters relatively new to PCPs are often blown away by their accuracy potentials, as UNAG's enthusiasm clearly shows (not to infer he's new to PCPs, mind you). Something you should know, as I've come to realize, even as retentive as serious airgunners are about accuracy and are willing to spend thousands in that quest, most nevertheless talk about accuracy in vague and ambiguous terms rather than quantifying their guns accuracy.

To paraphrase, I think you and I are in the minority as pertains describing accuracy in 'accurate' terms.

I'm going to PM you a chapter from my latest airgun book on this very subject. I suspect you'll enjoy it a lot. I'd post that chapter here, but it would be construed by some as some sort of insensitive attack.

Great shooting, very entertaining video, as are all your videos.

One thing baffles me a bit. So it seems everyone who does an Impact video showing accuracy or power has them “upgraded and tuned” by someone (cost unknown)... so a $2000 airgun isn’t good off the shelf? I don’t have one, but it appears I couldn’t get similar results if I bought an off the shelf Impact. That doesn’t pass my common sense test. Or am I missing something here...?
