I would immediately post a WTB: Wanted, mint condition Theoben SLR 88 sporter or Ultra carbine will pay $6000. US...hopefully it would come with scope or unscoped from new...wouldn't be shot anyway...would be for collection...doubt if that would be enough to bring one out in the open....(remember hypothetical question)...although I would take a reduced amount of 2k for a Kalibergun Mini Carbine and a light weight scope for target shooting...in a heart beat!

Vintage springers. Lots to choose from and they seem to go up in value at an ever increasing rate.
Best investment in airguns.
