Daystate Huntsman Revere Regal High Holiness Emperor of the Known Universe .177 love it
Second the positive feedback on the Sniper XR in .177. I use the DonnyFL FX moderator on it and it is very quite. Very accurate shooting JSB RDMs at around 810 fps (for HFT). Got mine from AOA.I really like my Brocock Sniper XR .177. Stout and accurate. Very quiet with its Donny FL Tanto moderator. Airguns of Az has them on sale now: https://www.airgunsofarizona.com/precharged-pcp/brocock-sniper-xr/
I like having a bullpup and a rifle in every caliber. In .177 I have an Edgun Leishey Classic, an Edgun Leyla 2, and a long barreled FX Impact 2 . The Leyla is my favorite (I’m a hunter) but the Leishey Classic gets the most shots as it is a behind the front door gun and a between the front seat truck gun.
Interesting. I have a Royale in .22, and the barrel virtually never needs cleaning. And you mention that this is a common issue with the .177 Royale. I wonder why this is the case? My .22 Royale is tuned to shoot the 18 g at around 880-890 fps. I don't suppose there could be enough difference in velocity to have such an effect, but what is your MV? They are both ST barrels, but maybe the bore or choke is relatively tighter in the .177.I have a FX Royal in .177 with the old smooth twist barrel. It’s been one of my favorite rifles over the years.
I had heard that the .177 had issues with accuracy and the barrel leading up.
But it has been nothing but excellent using the JSB 10.34 heavy.
Accuracy is excellent if you keep the barrel clean, and it slips slowly away if you don’t!
I don’t have a working chrony so I’m not sure about the MV, but I think I remember it being around 860 or so.Interesting. I have a Royale in .22, and the barrel virtually never needs cleaning.
