It depends on what the gun is used for, and the situation. I hunt with them all. Small birds theTX200 .177 is lights out.
Small birds, lovely. Starlings, pigeons and ground squirrels inside of 60 yards head shots, BSA R10 MKII .177.
Career 707 MKII .22, the most versatile gun I have EVER owned. It will shoot 450fps to well over 1100fps with different weight pellets. I shoot below 10 yds and well over 100 yds.
It does not matter, 14gr, 18gr, 21gr, 28gr, it will drive them all home. The ability to turn the power wheel to adjust velocity up or down, the accuracy, power, shot count, what else is there? Nothing I own can do what the Career does. Loaded a Crow Mag and turned the power up. A sparrow was on an old wire by my barn. Lined up the scope, squeezed the trigger. At the shot the sparrow exploded. Its head went airborne. Power, raw power, or turn down the power and the tiger is a kitten.
Cricket .25, powerful, accurate, and fun for the last 3 years.
RAW HM1000X .25 LRT. Only shot it one sitting. Give me some time.
All of my guns are fun.
