Your favorite speeds for JSB pellets?

All varies depending on the barrel and manufacture of the gun.

What may be accurate for a Daystate LW HP won't necessarily be the same speed as a Taipan Veteran or RAW or a Benjamin Maximus or FX Impact or Air Force.

You should try H&N Baracudas or Field Target Trophies 5.53 and 5.54 if all JSBs fail.

You can't really force a barrel to like JSBs if it wasn't meant to be.

Now I'm sorry I got rid of my H&N collection. Before I tune anything I'll try other pellets. Great tip! I do have at least a few H&N's and lots of Premier. Just got 3000 premier yesterday with a gun I bought.

ZX10 Thanks! I have used your speed before (Taipan Veteran video) I'm going to print that out and keep it on my wall. Thanks! -Nate

25gr Redesign JSB ~ 970 fps

18.13gr JSB ~ 900 fps

18.1gr FX (JSB Select) ~ 900 fps

15.89gr JSB ~ 880 fps

Hades JSB (.22) ~ 900 fps

14.35gr JSB ~ 880 fps

13.43gr JSB ~ 880 fps

Pellet speed does not mean accuracy. Accuracy is mostly base on your barrel.

I would put an Lothar Walther barrel in here but the instructions say "don't take any part of your gun apart under any circumstance." I think the barrel is an "any part" and I believe swapping a barrel would fall under "any circumstance"....so that stinks.

I really like the balance and look of the gun.

It really does depend on the barrel. My new fx liners (pellet and superior) shoot them above what is normally considered to be an accurate speed. I shoot 18gr fx and jsb at 915-920fps. That's just what my 380mm barrel likes. And 16gr aa diablo, and hades at 960fps. I see no degradation of accuracy

Seems to say quite a bit about what is "normally considered to be an accurate speed".

Check this out this guy ain't having much luck with HIS test sample too.

Hilarious he edits it after his group starts to REALLY open up then doesn't measure the WHOLE group hahahahaaa...

You would THINK the first couple shots were going into the same hole but look carefully... It appears not affecting the target? Pay attention to the upper and lower left outside of the first target Is he completely missing the target after the first shot? Well I no longer feel too bad about my Crosman F4 breakbarel (NITRO PISTON BABY!!!) hahahahaaa...

My favorite speed is the one which is most accurate at the time. This is usually somewhere between 850 and 920 fps, depending on the distance, barrel/gun, and conditions(wind, temp, etc...) under which I am shooting under. Doesn't matter as much at closer distances, but I have often began shooting/zeroing and had to lower or raise my tune a bit to get "dialed in" in order to get better accuracy at longer ranges(esp. in strong wind).
