Interested in seeing your sling setup on your hunting rifle.

I found a great way to sling the FX Impact using a MagPul MS4 Sling with a QD attached to the side pic rail of the Impact.

It allows me to use both my hands when out and about by tucking the ButtStock under my armpit while walking. Also allows me to bring the rifle up quick and shoulder it with ease when I see my targeted game animal.

A 10 pound rifle gets a bit heavy when you don't have a Sling!

Looks like we are like minded! At first I tried to repurpose the Maverick's adjustable butt stock pad adjustment hole, but in the end, I just drilled a hole in the frame and added a Magpul connector. I may replace the front hook connector with a Magpul connection, and add a secondary loop for a belt strap at the rear and a slack adjustment at the front so that it's attitude goes from low ready to ready completely hands free.

I originally was going to use my Air Arms S510 for squirrel hunting, but it came with a really nice piece of walnut and I am loathe to let it get scratched up. It has been designated my bird gun, for use in spaces without branches and brush. I am thinking about something like the Loop Sling by Ultimate Gun Sling for the S510 if I am walking around my cousin's farm yard, turning pigeons into pie, sparrows into cat food, and starlings into mulch.

I have a Brocock Ranger XR on order from AOA that I will use for squirrel hunting. On that, I will do something similar to @Harv24 with QD mounts and a quick adjust sling and carry it like @estarkey7, across my torso in front of me, for easy access.

I make my own since the prices they ask for some plastic double loops and a few feet of strap are crazy. I even figure mine out to have quick adjust fittings with no tag end to hang out in the way. Mostly do 2 point slings for my powder burners but made a single point for my air rifles since most don't have two many options for slings attachments. Getting its maiden voyage this morning along with the brand new Taipan Standard .22 on some conservation land squirrels.

Well the morning was a bust. Ran into another hunter using a shotgun and he was pretty impressed with the Taipan. Let him shoot off a couple rounds. Plenty of deer movement. Sling worked well. I generally sling under my left arm but now that Casey got me using a shooting stick, it is a lot of fidelling to move gun to right hand and stick to left hand. Slung right side and stick in left hand was much better. I like my quick adjust cause I can leave the gun slung for shots and not have to quick release sling swivels. Good way to drop an expensive rifle.
