I’m not aware of any at these price points that work consistently well.I think that may be the point of this post. To highlight which models/brands offer something worth owning that doesn't break the bank.

How many have you actually ownedI’m not aware of any at these price points that work consistently well.
Simple....if you have owned zero...it proves exactly how much weight your opinion would carry.I don’t see how that will prove anything. How many of every single model of box store airgun have you owned?
I’ve owned and tested a lot more than zero.Simple....if you have owned zero...it proves exactly how much weight your opinion would carry.
I won’t shop at Bass Pro for just that reason. I bought a defective Gamo and they wouldn’t give me a refund due to it being a “firearm”.If I was restricted to box store airguns, I’d buy from the store with the best return policy and return until I found one that shot and did not fall apart.
I don’t think low end airguns are all junk, just that some are and you can’t tell which from what.
nice group, what's the velocity?Same here, I tool the plastic stock off and replaced it with a Vantage wooden stock. Actually a pretty good shooter but I did put a GRT III trigger in it.

I for 1 have enjoyed this thread. While I except not every rifle is a hidden gem, it is nice to see a conversation that's not just another hw circle j__k. Nothing against weihrauch, I even own the hw30 deluxe. To get the chance to discuss other makes and models is a welcome change.dgeeseman has a point, but I'm just looking for casual input here, not trying to apply any sort of AQL sample plans to people's random observations. I do enough of that at work.
I started the thread out of curiosity, partially because I had read where people were pleasantly surprised to find good internals in the Stoeger X20, for example. And my own surprise at the very pleasant to shoot BH Elite.
I don't know much about the box store level guns, or the B1/B2/B3's of the world. But both of those guns are more impressive to me that the Gamo Big Cat I've shot a bit, and quite a few others.
A Titan GP with a GRT trigger was also a very respectable rifle IMO. Smooth working and accurate
Considering the price of German springers, I'd LOVE to find some hidden gems!
