Brocock/BRK You're all time "go to" air rifle ?

I've probably posted this before, but my all time favorite air rifle is the Brocock Bantam Sniper. I've had a standard version, bought from a member here a long time ago, and even though I've toyed with selling it, I've never gone though with it, as it is just too good. I've shot some of the best groups I've ever shot with this rifle. I can pick this gun up, even months since shooting it, and it will hit right where you airm and the velocity is right on.
Time passes and guns come and go and I found a good deal on a Bantam Sniper HR Magnum 22, and since it has a different polygonal rifled barrel on it, I thought I'd give it a try. To say it shoots as good as my standard is a gross understatement. It is one of the best shooting airguns I've ever shot. It is consistently easy to shoot one hole groups. After trying and finally settling on a scope for it, a Hawke Airmax 30 SF 10X, I was able to shoot two back to back < 1" groups at 70 yards, resting my elbow on the retaining wall in the driveway, with a mild breeze blowing. Holy cow! this thing is easy to shoot. It was shooting quite hot when I got it, sending 18.1 gr pellets at 990 fps, so I turned it down a bit to just under 900 fps and it can do an es of 6 fps. What a rifle!

I dolled it up a bit with a cerekote stock and barrel shroud I had and some decals.
I know, nothing is right without a picture, so here it is.

I've always wanted to try a Sahara XR but never have. Many people seem to love these guns though.

My personal go to now is my Taipan Vet Long .22. Shooting 18gr JTS at 920fps it's an absolute laser beam. Most accurate gun I've owned of many airguns. Never misses a beat. We'll see if it's "big brother" on the bottom can live up to it.

I almost want to try my Atomic at a field target shoot.
Almost? Have at it and post up, whats the worst the could happen? You may end up surprising yourself and if you are tempted its because she must be very accurate… So go for it…!

To @bchannell, my Bantam Sniper HR was also simply an amazing PCP. Pest kills out to 104 yards, and the groups I casually sent with it were simply awesome. I regret letting mine go, but I have kept the lineup within the BRK family…

I’m still looking 😂

Closest is my venerable PP700SA. It was a workhorse of backyard pesting. Compact and always ready to go. I really need to put a scope on it and take out a rodent. She stacked AA 16gr (minute of squirrel head stacking)

Ugly and a platform I learned how to tinker with PCP on, but I’ll never get rid of her.

I'm pretty new at this airgun stuff and have been blessed with quite a few nice rifles in about 18 months, fortunately🙏.

My current favorite is the latest acquisition. Got a screaming good deal on this barely used Steyr Pro-X. A person can really go through the pellets with this thing! Fortunately, it does very well being fed CPHP'S so it's economical for a semi auto. Its favorite is 15g Hades, though. I bagged 2 squirrels with it on the very first 10rnd mag while dialing in the scope. The thing just plain works with no drama at 30 FPE.

Nice rifle. I recently received mine and want to shoot the 18gr at 900fps also. What do you have your reg and hammer spring set at?

Any one of my four current Taipan's...I could be satisfied with any one of them, doupt if I will ever buy any other brand of airgun...I just don't see anything anywhere for any price that I could shoot (in my hands) more accurately or would have less problems with...I'm

satisified with the type 1 Vet's...completely satisfied.

My Cricket Carbine is still the best although it has some competition from my Taipan Veteran and Brocock Commander XR now. The Commander is easier to tweak with the power adjuster, external adjustable regulator and hammer spring. However the Carbine never needed any adjusting or maintenance except a new trigger sear (which was serviced for free by Kalibrgun). The balance and feel of the Carbine are great and the only thing against it is the fiddly changing of a magazine.

I’ve got about 15 “high end” PCPs (RTI, Daystate, FX, Weihrauch, Taipan, etc)…

… if by “go-to” you mean pick it up and shoot a squirrel dead at 25-50 yards with just one shot…

… then I’m going with one of my unregulated target rifles:
Benjamin Akela .177
Daystate Huntsmen Regal .22
Reximex Daystar .177
Daystate Renegade .25

If you let me take one “refresh the plenum” empty purge shot first, then any of the regulated ones would do - I’d probably pick a bullpup like my Taipan Vet 2 or an RTI Prophet if shooting offhand or leaning against something. My Crowns have been the most consistently accurate off the benchrest, but they are long-a_sed guns.
