I owned it's predecessor, the Avenger, in .25 caliber. It was very accurate. Looks like a few things were improved. The plastic stock felt cheap but that was to be expected. The new hardware looks good and I do like the configurability. I sold it because I do not like a curved, half-moon shaped trigger. Looks like the new ones kept that design so I won't be getting one - BUT - I would not discourage anyone from getting one - they are really great, and very accurate rifles.

@MikeAllen Is that something that is able to be swapped out or are users just stuck with that trigger?

To me knowledge there is no replacement - however I did see a post (somewhere) from an individual that removed the stock trigger and did som creative machine work to replace it with an FX style straight post so that one of several aftermarket triggers could be used.

@MikeAllen Well that sounds promising, although it seems that the trigger from the factory isn’t too bad from what I read. If you can locate the link you’re referring to, please post it. I was unable to locate it trying a few keyword combinations in an AGN search.

I'll see if I can find it - might have been on a Facebook post. Was a while ago so not promising but I'll try.

I was surprised by the shot count. To see him stretch his shots out to 120 yards was impressive as well. I had this pegged as a "cheap" gun. It looks like pretty well thought out air rifle. Having never held one, I still wonder about the build quality.
The build quality of the new X in both configuration synthetic and wood are outstanding that’s why I currently own four one first gen and three X. And as long you used them with a very good and efficient moderator they are extremely quiet and backyard friendly as well. I took this video in my backyard shooting one of my Avenge-X .25 cal around a bunch of my neighbor chickens and they didn’t even noticed, even that the shots were passing only one or two feets above their heads and the targets were just a few feets from them as well.

The new synthetic stock of the X it’s much stronger, beefier and solid (not hollow) vs the ones that came in the first gen I currently have both. Also the simple mod that Steve recommends to do to their trigger works fantastic as well. About the shape of the trigger, each person has their own preference.
