Yucky weather

It’s still warm in Deep East Texas. Probably in the low to mid 60s F. We have intermittent showers with some hard and spuradic wind gusts that have to easily be 15-20 mph. Winds are shifty too. It’s obvious a front is blowing in. By the looks of the forecast a pretty cold front. I’m considering shooting in this wind a little later.

Edit: my weather app says it’s 68F.

20 mph is just a breeze here in the corn fields !!! we have gusts a few days ago that were over 50 !! Usually 15mph here everyday.. warm up come the week after next,, 24degrres out now..
@cosmic You may be used to that, but high winds aren’t the norm here on a daily basis. 20 mph was me speculating. We’re actually under tornado watch. According to the forecast the gusts are up to 37 mph. Not a good feeling when you’re almost surrounded by tall trees. Anyhow I was noting the wind speed if I decide to shoot in this.

The forecast here call for 32 M/s or 71.5 MPH gusts starting Tuesday morning.

THAT is also windy for little Denmark

EDIT: just had to change window, it is Tuesday morning the wind really pick up.
The really heavy winds also in the N & NW parts of the country, over here in the eastern part of Jutland the edge will be clipped quite a bit, even if the wind just have to pass 100 - .200 Km of after all flat land Denmark to get to here.

Radar right now ( precipitation types ) yellow / orange sleet - reds snow - blues rain

Marker at my range 45 min drive from where i live in black circle.

Yup, it's miserable outside and the rain hasn't gotten here yet. But the ill wind of Helene left us with a decade's worth of firewood, so there's that...

Will do, sir. We already got HAMMERED by Helene here in my little neck of the woods so a little cold aint going to do too much more damage....I hope!

Hit me up if you need some firewood, Rob. We have it to spare. I'm south of Asheville.

Cheers,

J~

Lol. Looks like you're pretty well set then. Happy to see some forest still standing. Between developers and the hurricane, it's going away rapidly...

My great grandparents were from Burnsville. They had a farm there. I still love that area.

Cheers,

The mountains on the other side not shown in the pic has a whole swath of trees down now. Minimal trees down on the side shown in the pic. But yes. I grew up in Weaverville and that place has grown like crazy. So far, Barnardsville is still small with a little over 415 people residing there. Some places in Burnsville still small, too. I venture out that way to hit up Prices Creek gun store on occasion. Great little place!

We have some fine white stuff coming down now. NNE to NE winds. It is blowing almost sideways. Gusts to 25. Wind chill down to about 3° and true temperature to 14°. The basement will hear muffled pops today. Probably the Webley and 6M. Maybe a pump pneumatic. Be Well Pistoleros, 'dito.

I am also thinking, come spring, we better topple a tree or two of my friends, CUZ the shot shed oven to eat some wood.
Though i do also think when i get some insulation slapped on the sucker it will not take as much wood to get the temperature up, though i still prefer to get it a bit higher, but here i am clashing with my friend that unlike me is not that big on high temperatures.

Even if in summer if its just a little bit windy his fingers will be like icicles for some unknown reason.

Right now my car CCTV camera say not at all much snow here.

Video of the forecast weather ( wind ) from Monday 10:00 to Tuesday evening.
Low pressure skimming the west coast, Norwegians and Swedes get much snow,,,,, well compared to what we Danes are used to at least.

Color coding:

Purple is >32 M/s wind + 71 MPH winds( hurricane )
Strong Storm
Storm 24 - 28 M/s / 53.6 - 62.6 MPH
Stormy gail
Hard gail 17 - 21 M/s / 38 - 46.9 MPH

Fortunately the backside of this THUR - FRI - SAT still look excellent ( < 5 M/s ) So pew - pew time 😁 🥶
