@cosmic You may be used to that, but high winds aren’t the norm here on a daily basis. 20 mph was me speculating. We’re actually under tornado watch. According to the forecast the gusts are up to 37 mph. Not a good feeling when you’re almost surrounded by tall trees. Anyhow I was noting the wind speed if I decide to shoot in this.20 mph is just a breeze here in the corn fields !!! we have gusts a few days ago that were over 50 !! Usually 15mph here everyday.. warm up come the week after next,, 24degrres out now..
The forecast here call for 32 M/s or 71.5 MPH gusts starting Tuesday morning.20 mph is just a breeze here

and just north of Asheville here! Got a few hundred acres of firewood here at my place! Appreciate it though!Yup, it's miserable outside and the rain hasn't gotten here yet. But the ill wind of Helene left us with a decade's worth of firewood, so there's that...
Hit me up if you need some firewood, Rob. We have it to spare. I'm south of Asheville.
Cheers,
J~

The mountains on the other side not shown in the pic has a whole swath of trees down now. Minimal trees down on the side shown in the pic. But yes. I grew up in Weaverville and that place has grown like crazy. So far, Barnardsville is still small with a little over 415 people residing there. Some places in Burnsville still small, too. I venture out that way to hit up Prices Creek gun store on occasion. Great little place!Lol. Looks like you're pretty well set then. Happy to see some forest still standing. Between developers and the hurricane, it's going away rapidly...
My great grandparents were from Burnsville. They had a farm there. I still love that area.
Cheers,
J~
