Zan .177 22 and 24 gr slugs

Package arrived at my house this afternoon and I am looking forward to be testing these heavy .177 slugs in my Daystate Red Wolf GP .177 HP with the prototype 28” LW slug barrel that I am testing 👍🙂🎯

My RAW HM1000x likes the Zan 13.4 gr slugs the best. The 16s almost as good. Accuracy starts to fall off with the 20 gr.. Mine shoots 1010 fps. I'm not really a slug guy and fail to see the need for them except in this case I wanted to shoot this caliber at 100 yards, and pellets just won't do with a .177.

I put a choked .177 LW barrel in my Talon-P, a few days ago. This rifle was setup for .257 slugs @ 161fpe. It wouldn't shoot the .177 slugs well with the choke so i removed it, crowned it and now it shoots both 13.43gr Knockouts and NSA 15gr slugs very well. This is so even though the 13.43's are shooting around 1330fps and the 15's about 1310fps (PW is turned way down to tune these to the bell curve as it's a non-regulated gun.) I have NSA 20.5s on the way, but I'm wondering about these Zan 22gr and 24gr slugs. It would have been great to see the information that the OP was intending to share. Does anyone have any experience with these heavy Zan slugs that they could share?

Please reveal some more of this Talon-P…..pleeeeze….

I tried the 24 grainers this summer, on a short distance ( 55 M ) they do fine, and will make a hole in a 20 foot container hitting the same place a few times, also sort of do that on a long distance ( 120 M )
But long they do arrive sideways so not good in that sense.

As you can see on the left not desirable hole shape.
But that’s a 2" target at 120 M, i do not recall speed here, but i have no doubt it was +900 FPS, and the rifle my Two.
