FX zan .25 33gr

hi all im new here so go easy
i have a new m4 sniper 700mm barrel 1.24 twist rate and received 6 free boxes of zan .25cal 33grain and was wondering if anyone has an impact similar and what speeds they are having the most success .reg pressures and fps and will they be accurate at 100 yards
I imagine you might struggle a little.
My superior 1:24 shotgunned them. My 1:16 puts them through one ragged hole at any speed. Just my experience. Everyone seems to find unique results. Good luck.

You will need the 1:16 twist heavy barrel liner

If you do end up buying a slug liner. Make sure you're buying new stock 1:16 liner, a lot of places still have the 1:18 superior "heavy aka slug liner". Avoid this, it'll be better than 1:24 but 1:16 is what you want.
Utah Air for sure, or any site that specifies.

I'll read all the posts before mine later but 1:24 is a great pellet liner but a poor liner for stabilizing slugs.

Hey fellow down under shooter. 🙂
I’ve got the same rifle and had similar queries so emailed Zan direct.
His reply was aim for around 980 fps +- 15 for best accuracy with 37 and 41 grain slugs but he did say it should also be possible for good accuracy with slugs 30gn and up, not so much with 26.5 and 28 for laser accuracy. This was all prefaced on a factory rifle with no mods at all.
I’ve got a sample box but haven’t got to testing with them yet.
Regarding the liners, I believe there’s a parts shipment coming in from FX in the next week or two.
You could give AirGunSlugs Australia a call and see what they have on back order, Wayne is pretty good to deal with.
Otherwise you could try ordering from HUMA and get an import permit for the liner when it arrives (if customs intercept it).
Good hunting. 👍
