Yes, too many updates and changes, especially in .22.
Popular slugs nowadays, I'm guessing production methods change to meet demand.

Fortunately I have a decent stock of Zan .177 that work in a Alfa precision barrel.

No further test purchase of Zan slugs for me.

Nothing but positives from ZAN for me. Rescued from JSB pellet shortage, few years back, helped find preferred U2/V3 .30 slug via assortment pack and provided another accurate pellet option, in FX Wildcat MK3 Sniper .30, with 56 grain BR100. WM

I'm using .177 16 gr zan grain slugs in the Alfa barrel, poly , 16.9 twist. The 20 gr H&N are also impressive.
Nothing above 150 meter testing so far, it's not what I need.
A few guys I know now use these barrels, not heard one complaint so far. I simply wanted a .177 longer slug barrel, 650 mm. I'm pleased I took the chance.

Alfa precision barrels are still available, EU. Shipping from Spain, decent price and delivery in about 10 days.

They are blanks correct? I've checked them up before. I had a 450mm long, 1:14.6" twist that I just sold to @weevil Bought it from airgunheaven.com cost me about $420 Never really got to use it, so it's definitely going to a better home.

The new packaging is superior. Each box is covered in a resealable metal foil. Keeps the air & moisture out, and doubles as a target when you don’t need the foil any longer.

Yes, blanks. Around 110 euro and 8 euro shipping.
Definitely worth the experiment.
