ZAN Slugs are NO JOKE!

Hey guys. I don't have much experience shooting slugs. Mostly because every time I have tried them, it's not the right gun/barrel/slug match up and they shoot alot worse than the pellets.

Another reason is that whenever I would email NSA and ask for a box (Huben video and a few other times), they would ignore my emails. So I never had the opportunity to work with them.

When I saw ZAN Projectiles had become a partner on AGN, I dropped them a line to say Welcome, and if they would like a free video, just send some slugs my way. ZAN himself emailed me back and said "NO PROBLEM". They were on my doorstep from Slovania within a week. 

...so I'm here to tell you that I put the 30.5gr .22's Zan Slugs in my M3 Impact and it's shooting dime groups at 43 yards. NO FLYERS, NO 2 INCH GROUPS. ..pellet on pellet, 10 shots in a dime. I did it off camera last night, but I plan to go film it this morning.

That was with the 18.1gr factory tune. ...NO slug liner, No slug power kit, Not even the 25.4gr tune.

..so that's pretty cool. Slugs that actualy group! -Nate @ Airgun Channel

Do they expand? ...well, that's not a "pass through" shot, that's for sure!
 
I'm glad you like the Zan slugs but I would have left out the bashing NSA because they didn't get back to you or after they did they told you NO. You're taking away from your thoughts on ZAN slugs because you started with NSA.

If a vendor doesn't want to send you free items oh well, you just don't need to criticize one company to make another seem better. Just my thoughts and I have been shooting ZAN slugs before you brought up their slugs. Wish you well on your thought/opinion on ZAN...

OK I softened it (edit). Saying NO is fine. Donnie says no everytime I email him. It's when you lie that it makes me mad. People that don't have a nice way to say no to people and choose to just ignore emails also really bother me. I know NSA has some great slugs...I am also a customer...that's what these guys don't get. I was a customer before I was a Youtuber. So when you screw me over by not having the courtesy or the courage to email me back and at least say no, your screwing over one of your customers. It really has nothing to do with not sending me free stuff.

Do you think it's easy for me to type a 3 paragraph email? It takes me about 20-30 minutes. At least take 1 minute and hit that reply button, "Sorry, we don't advertise that way".

Donnie started by saying: "Thanks but we don't have that avialable right now. All our units are spoken for. We will keep you in mind in the future"

to eventually saying: "Were not interested"

to now he simply says: "No". ...but he's not afraid to email me, or not too busy, whatever. ...if only everyone could do business like that guy.

Nate, NSA Doesn't owe you anything. He does not have to offer free slugs to you or anyone else unless he wants to. NSA slugs are extremely affordable. For someone that says he makes a living from making youtube videos, you should be a able to afford a few boxes of NSA slugs. I don't understand why some youtubers feel entitled to free things because they are a "youtuber". Purchase some slugs and do a honest review on them. Just remember a few months ago you showed your true colors when you tried to sell those crosman pellets to people in need of pellets for 3 or 4 times the price.

Please explain how NSA not being willing to send you free product to "review" on your channel is NSA "screwing you over"? 

Of if you mean that their lack of response is also somehow "screwing you over" I'd be interested to hear the logic in that too.

And, "softened it a bit"? The best option would have been to not be derogatory in the first place. 

(really betting this doesn't help your chance of getting some free NSA slugs, as Nick seems to frequent the forum)

OK, I managed to get myself in hot water agian. I don't know when I will learn to stop posting stupid stuff on AGN.

and I feel like I'm screwed over when people pretend not to hear me when I spend 30 minutes crafting an email just for them...and most likely put together some sort of pitch or plan for thier product. By screwed over I mean I can't get that 30 minutes of my life back, and it was for nothing. 

Lets not get all crazy about this. I promise I will never share my personal feelings in public again...unless they are positive.

Whether you say so or not, it has everything to do with them not sending you free slugs. You wouldn't be upset about the '30 minutes of your life.....that you cant get back.....for nothing" if they had supplied some free slugs.

Holy crap guys. Where did you get that idea? I said in my Katran video I think, that "I get paid for airgun videos now" ...that turned out to NOT be a thing. Out of the 150 guns I have reviewed I have got exactly 3 of those for free. Huben / Cricket 2 / and Avenger. I also got 1/2 off the Caiman from Utah Airguns. AOA has paid me exactly $400 for the Red Wolf video. 

...so if I lived in a 3rd world country I may be able to pay my bills with that. I seriously can't even afford pellets. I don't shoot off camera. If I did there would be no channel since I have been shooting the same tin of JSB pellets for literally over a year. 

I tried to be Steve for a while. It took all the fun out of it. ..and also now Utah and AOA probably think I'm a wierdo (or they know). They both said yes to be nice. They are not going to be calling me back, let's just put it that way. (accept Jared is super cool and I do have a Delta Wolf .22 on the way, due spring of 2028.)

Now I offer FREE videos for NEW airgun models only. Indeed, I won't even make a video on any gun that is not BRAND NEW. It's not worth my time for 10k views. My channel has 7 million views lifetime (over 3 years). If I made a video about almost ANYTHING besides airguns, with the editing skills I have aquired through Airgun Channel, I could get 7 million views on ONE video....each week. $6k per 1 mill views = $18k a week even if my video only gets 3 million views. 

Ever seen a commecial on Airgun Channel? I've never had one, It's not monetized because it wouldn't be worth it. Happy shooting! I hope to make a living in an airgun related business some day...and on Youtube. I'm not realy in a hurry though...just trying to enjoy the ride.

Nate, 

You spending the time selling yourself is on you. You can spend a week on a letter and if it does not get a response, it is on you. Not the other person. If a person responds it is because they are interested in what you said. Do you ever think that it is at all possible that you are saying something or doing something that really is turning some people away? 

Im glad the slugs are working out with what you are using.
