Zbroia Zbroia Kozak 550/290: What is the factory regulator setting

Matthias, just acknowledge your post - I own one (.22), but do not know. I bought it used, but the original owner didn't remember if he adjusted the regulator while also doing some hammer spring adjustments. In my notes, I've recorded settings quoted in videos (90 & 150 bar), but 90 seems really low. I shot one string that seemed to show velocities dropping off below 150, but I never went back & confirmed it. 125 bar seems more logical, but I don't have any testing to back that up. Is this your rifle, a friend's, or more research?

Other than that, it's a great rifle. I hope they can get back on the market once the war is over.

Thanks for responding! 🤝🏼

The gun is not mine — though I purchased it to help out a friend here in Peru that is struggling financially. (He will pay for it eventually, when he sells his hit-or-miss PCP and can pick up more work hours.)

Yeah, your estimate of 125bar sounds like a typical number for a .22 with 30FPE. Maybe that's all he needs at this point.

You mention the war and Zbroia not being sold in the US. 😞
Well, here in Peru the Zbroia brand is being sold — so that's the bright side. 😃

However, Zbroia is only sold by one(!) gun store.
Another gun store sells FX (one store, again).
3 stores sell Hatsan, Air Ventury, Snowpeak.
2 stores sell Norica, Stoeger, Ruger, Beeman, and Benjamin.

Amount of model choices from each brand: About half of what's available in the US from each of those brands.

➠ And that's about it in gun stores — for the whole country.... 🤷🏻‍♂️
(Peru is twice the size of Texas. How many gun stores does Texas have...? The interwebs tell me over 6.000 stores.)

Count your blessings! 😃

Texas has over 6000 gun stores, yep. But the most important thing is it also has over 12,000 churches.

And @TN_Yankee Didn't I sell you that Zbroia? If so I really don't think I adjusted the reg but if I did it wouldn't have been 150B.

Randall,

that's funny you should mention that detail....! 😃

Yeah, we're just looking into the possibility of retiring in Peru instead of returning to the US:

➧ After decades living and working here — this is were "home" is, because this is were we have so many friends....

However, if we can't afford retirement in Peru and decide to move to the US — the great state of TEXAS is a top contender to become our new home —
precisely because of those two things you mentioned:
guns & churches

Well, maybe not in this order — but they represent both my hobby and my work/ministry....! 😃
