Zelle is no more as a payment method....

My bank is enrolled in Zelle and I have always used the bank site to do any transaction. I never trust an app when I can use the bank's site. Banks have a lot more security in place for transfers than the app that relies on updates every time the iOS system updates. Too much room for a hacker to steal your money.

If your bank is enrolled in FedNow instant payment and so is the seller or buyer, you can get your funds instantly. FedNow is like Zelle but you don't have to use an app for the instant payment. The funds will be transferred from account to account instantly. No more middle man. I think this is the reason why Zelle is going away. Larger financial institution is going away from Zelle and going to FedNow for more control on their end. Zelle is a private 3rd party while FedNow is public. Any financial institution can sign up for FedNow.
