Umarex Zelos .25 vs Gauntlet 2 .30

Two completely different gun there. Going coyote hunting, or shooting medium game at a distance from a stand, blind, or stationary place? G2 .30

Walking/stalking, small game to racoon? Zelos .25

G2 30 can make up to 120fpe slug depending, but it's 48" long without a moderator.

Zelos 36" without a mod. Shot count on bouth is rather low in their factory configuration, but you can change the bottle on the gauntlet.

If I may:

The gauntlet is almost 4 feet long and weighs in at 9 pounds empty!

The Zelos is 3 feet long and weighs 7 pounds empty.

The Zelos *Compact is 30 inches long and weighs 6 pounds filled with air.

I agree, except that the G2 is not almost 4ft long, it is 4ft long lol. You can although shave 2lb from the stock by getting the custom 3d stock from Terminadorindustries.

But it really depends on your needs imho

I had a really bad experience with my Gauntlet, then I resealed a couple dozen of them for customers (Gauntlet ll) and I lost all hope...

Man, you have some bad luck with pcp's, the only guns I have ever mess up on me not due to operator error was the AEA assasin semi, and the aea challenger .22 I had about 5 years ago.

My first gauntlet .25, shot great, but didn't like the length. Wanted more power, so it became my first mod gun. Sold it got an Akela, easioy the best pellet shooter I've ever had. Sold that and have been on a sale and trade lifestyle since. The sl 30 I just got recently, I decided to send off to terminadorindustries so get cut down and change the bottle. From 700cc to 500cc and from 28" barrel to 19" barrel. Will still be able to put out 83ish fpe for around 30 shots. And most important, it will measure about 42" with the mod on! Shorter than all my at44's lol

I've still got my AEA Big 9mm, damn fine gun! 300fpe!

I've still got my AEA Sniper in .25, its been a super accurate slugger!

I've still got my AEA HP semi auto in .22 and it ROCKS!

Two questions: what’s your budget and what are you going to use it for? The Gauntlet is a bit of a chunk but handles well. I have two and have no problem carrying them. For a long day in the woods I would consider the lighter Zelos. You’ll finish the day not completely worn out, a definite plus. I’m weird I guess, I prefer a heavier gun most days.

Man, you must have some muscles! Im spent after 4 hours with a 4 pound gun! :ROFLMAO:

Not really, these days I refer to myself as an old tired bastard. I shot heavy competition rifles back in the day, Black Star heavy barrels, McMillan stock, the whole bit. I also used to carry a stupid heavy camera bag everywhere for work. Maybe this is why I I always walk leaning to one side and my knees hurt. I’m not kidding.

My door-kicking days were almost 35 years ago, I lived with that ugly gun. I refuse to carry heavy guns now.
