Umarex ZELOS hammer

Had some time today to mess with ( up ) the zelos. Upped the regulator to 2000 psi.
Got a meaty screwdriver, set up new $33 chronograph, shot as is for stock speed.
went to adjust in 1/2 turn . Wouldn’t budge. Tried 1/2 out wouldn’t budge.
Really put some torque into it, both ways. Nothing

oh I forget screw does move 1/4 turn total then stops

did I miss something? Any ideas ?

Are u sure the stock is not holding it down. Strange as mine turns so easily. There is something binding it.

Where's the rest of the story, OP?
Oooooh yeah that… a week or so ago I wanted to adjust trigger so dismantled the stock area. What do you know the hammer turns freely. What happened previously was I drilled out butt plate for exterior access to hammer screw. I was off center. The screwdrivers I had in cellar were both large and very small. So the driver was catching on the plastic. The light was not good so I was feeling my way around in there. When I used a larger driver to really torque it it didn’t budge. I figured no way I m not chipping this plastic so figured something is stuck inside. That’s where I left it till opening it up.

I had cataract surgery around five years ago and was amazed at my new 20/20 uncorrected vision. However my near vision was made far worse. It was my choice of internal lenses and felt the far vision more important to me.

I'm probably going to be ordering a .22 Zelos tomorrow - would you be able to give me any tips on where I should drill the hole to avoid following in your original footsteps?

Yup Steve that’s where I was going with this…
Are you using the stock hammer spring. I've heard several people say there using a different one.
I got my reg set to 2,700 hammer spring screw turned in 4 turns. I don't have a Chronograph , so I have no Idea the speed but man it shoots the Apolo 28 grain hollow point slugs like a laser. That's at 45 feet in my back yard for now , but I can hit sharpie dots on a piece of junk mail.
