Zelos Mod Squad

Hello everyone I made this exact titled post , and put it under PCP air rifles where it belongs , but for the very first time did not a single reply.
I want to know what a FX barrel liner is , and how to do this modification.
Any other ZELOS mods your willing to share. OldVet wants to know. Thanks all I love to learn.
fx barrel liner is a system where interchangeable barrels have a thin "liner" which is the rifled bore which fit inside an exterior housing or "barrel". It offers a system where you can swap out twist rates in a pinch. 1:24-1:18-1:16... @ $109 per liner. You'd buy the liner housing or "barrel" and liner lock/TP-liner receiver, outer housing which would be the Outer diameter of the stock Zelos barrel and fit in its place.. and muzzle plug/liner lock nut which is the housing/receiver of the muzzle end of the liner. I don't know that it would be necessary unless you want a Longer or shorter barrel. the stock zelos barrel is Extremely accurate in my experience, and most who i've spoken with. You're going to spend about $250 on the FX conversion kit and and the liner you want to use. Top pic explains the Liner barrel system, bottom is the Zelos Kit.

As far as how... it's just a barrel swap.

If you like to tinker and the “build” is 90% of the fun by all means jump in. Just keep in mind that at the end you are going to end up with a very expensive gun that you will never get your money out of. I have come very close myself numerous times with the notos. Thinking it would be fun but then I’d end up with a 5-600 dollar notos. For what.

Funny that you say that… I’ve told myself that I’ll start modding my Notos. I added all the parts and then calculated the total funds. I ended up scratching my head and saying to myself, “All this for a Notos that I’ll never get my money back and not be impressed”. Hard pass. I’ll just save up a bit more and buy an FX. 😂

I had always thought the bottle Notos was ugly… 🤐

Most of guys that name are guns give them girl names. I always thought she looked better with a bottle than a tube. And always way better with 2 bottles Lol.

one of those "why do dogs lick their balls" things. The answer is, "because they can". and yes, i spent about $940 total to sell for $500. I did get a seriously accurate 30-32fpe gun.. but for $940 I could've got a used GK1 or new regged compatto. I should've. I jgot the notos as a curiosity. for a $260 PCP it is NOT BAD at all. But best left in stock configuration if you've gotten a good barrel or given the basic upgrades, 380 Fx barrel swap if the stock barrel isn't a "good one", Aftermarket Moderator adapter, Plenum. After that, ehh.
I have no problem with others doing it. But when I try to do it, that guilt or reasoning, whatever it’s called takes over and i come to realization that it’s not worth it for me. I just can’t justify it for myself.

Those who do it. Hats off to you. To make a 17fpe gun into a 32fpe gun is impressive. But it’s a lot of work and costs tons of money.

That was kind of a nasty reply. Having enough money to buy what you want can't buy you decent manners I guess. This post is to learn how to mods on a airgun.?
What mods on a airgun can you teach us people here to learn.

I really don't understand where aggression or bad intent was picked up from my post.
I was admitting its an exercise in futility with no return, it was agreeing with zerochance. I guess the default will always be to assume bad faith and ill intent. Ive posted many times on this board and maybe shown a total of 2 people any bit of hostility. I was complimenting his original statement that it costs a lot to just barely reach the base performance level of guns that would cost that much out of the box without the added benefit of added value or return on investment.

Please tell me where that made any of the implications you're drawing.

Zerochance, I was agreeing with you. where can defensiveness or attack being conceived from what i posted? I'm genuinely asking. I'm mildy autistic so I often do not understand

WHERE THE **** DID I MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT ANYONES FINANCIAL POSITION? I was mocking myself for doing all that crap to essentially lose $500. thus proving him right.

"cant buy you decent manners". my post was humorous and agreeable. "Decent manners" okay bud
I don't understand humans.
You’re good. I didn’t find your comment “aggressive” or “hostile” at all. 👍

I'm glad you accepted my apologies. I did not mean to offend you if I did. I'm just a sensitive old man you said you did not understand humans , so let me explain my human part. I'm a Christian so I got upset for no true reason just a natural act , and it's not because they can it's because they be cleaning themselves. I was angry at myself for being such a boy scout. Lol. Have a good night.

Part of why I erased the posts. Not a reason to get steamed. I frequently get upset by the degradation of the American quality of life and decline of morals. I understand.

He might be busy, honestly I don’t know Where he’s been. He was a regular fixture around here. Been much quieter as of late. he Builds and upgrades guns, one of the more popular is the Zelos customs he puts out.

on eBay ‘C88Machining’ offers the fx barrel conversion kit and you’d have to get the 500/600/700 mm liner you want for it. 1:24 twist superior, 1:18 superior heavy, or 1:16STX SLUG. are the most recent out. He sells a high Flow tp And valve, which is pointless unless your expanding your ports. You can obviously buy the bottle adapter and bottle, and an additional side mounted plenum. if you want to get a lot of power out of it. personally I think the 45 foot pounds it can easily put out stock with just reg adjustment is enough. I’m shooting 22gr hybrid and 21 gr javelin slugs at that Power, it’s plenty.
