Umarex Zelos & Slugs

My Zelos is loving these H&N slugs in 218 and 21 grains.

Gun Zone Deals has new 22s & 25s for $449
I bought mine from here. Perfect
I recently picked mine up from Dack Outdoors for $414.97. I signed up for their mailings and it seems every couple of days they have a different offer... generally free shipping or $15 off. I jumped on the free shipping, as shipping to Oregon was more than $15.

Rabbit,

Those groups are great for 60 yards.

Did you say what your shot count is? My .25 is only about 27 (not even two magazines) before it falls below the regulator, which came set at 2,300 PSI. May end up putting a bottle on it. It shoots about as good as yours (at 50 yards - the max. at my range) with JTS 33.9 (870 fps) and AEA 29.5 grain pellets. JSB 33.x were dismal and JSB 25.x were better, but again I got better groups with AEA and JTS pellets. Still playing around with diff. pellets and the few slugs that I have... I'm reluctant to fiddle with the regulator with the groups that I'm getting now, maybe later.

I'm getting about 27-29. At 2180. About exactly 150 bar.

My stock barrel liked .218 NSA 28.5gs but they got the barrel dirty quick. It didn't like much else and I got an FX liner kit.

Now I'm stacking H&N .218 23g and 30g at 50m and just over MOA at a 100. Had the reg set to 140bar last time but will up it to and see if the groups tighten up.

Overall it's a great gun that cycles well and has a great Tigger and ergonomics. A bonus with the liner kit is that it reduces the overall weight.

Superior, heavy or STX slug.

I'm gonna be a broken record on this forever. If you've got a superior. ORDER griffin .218 17 or 19gr LDC slugs. You will not regret it. They make 21 and a boat tail 24 LDC in 218 as well. The best light slug I've ever shot out of Superior liners. I've had 2 .380 superiors a 500 and a 600 and it shot those like gods owh spitballs. They're badass slugs to boot. Super expansion even as low as 24fpe

What does it take to swap the barrels on the zelos? Can it fit very many fx liners?

Just split a female house sparrow in twine. At about 35 y. Sheltering from the wind on the backside of an evergreen shrub.

Varmint knockers XLHP EVEN EXPAND on these. View attachment 544437
Looks like a song sparrow not a house sparrow. Look at the beaks and face markings. House sparrows have solid color on forehead.

Juvenile females aren't so solid. Song sparrows have the coloration up the upper chest.

There were 5 of them, this is only one that held on during the gust I was waiting to die down before I left the shot off. 3 of which were traditional looking male adults

500mm superior liner. I'll give the Griffins a try.
