Umarex Zelos & Slugs

I recently picked mine up from Dack Outdoors for $414.97. I signed up for their mailings and it seems every couple of days they have a different offer... generally free shipping or $15 off. I jumped on the free shipping, as shipping to Oregon was more than $15.

Rabbit,

Those groups are great for 60 yards.

Did you say what your shot count is? My .25 is only about 27 (not even two magazines) before it falls below the regulator, which came set at 2,300 PSI. May end up putting a bottle on it. It shoots about as good as yours (at 50 yards - the max. at my range) with JTS 33.9 (870 fps) and AEA 29.5 grain pellets. JSB 33.x were dismal and JSB 25.x were better, but again I got better groups with AEA and JTS pellets. Still playing around with diff. pellets and the few slugs that I have... I'm reluctant to fiddle with the regulator with the groups that I'm getting now, maybe later.

Yeah I had dealings with Dacks . Wasn’t a good experience. But I realize every now and then somebody’s gotta get shafted.
They got good prices as I purchased a Hatsan Neutron Star but never got and had to finally let the charge card company fight it out. In the end I got my money back but really would have liked the gun.

I was gonna argue that the BullShark /P35 could unseat its stablemate zelos but zelos is easier to tune and is more accurate and also cheaper.
Hard to argue. I have 2 of the zelos

I've got them both sitting next to eachother in front of me. Honestly, the Zelos is the overall better built gun. It's heavier it's way longer, it's got more power. It shoots slugs really well out of the box.

I've got the p35x much lighter. As tuned getting 34.5fpe and the zelos pulling 37.4fpe. agree on most of what you said except cost. Where is the zelos cheaper?

Found the 22gr .2173 AVS flat base and the zelos yet along famously, 913.5fps.

Mind you I'm testing everything at 35y. After im done with the initial testing I'm going to do another round at 60 and 100y.

Waiting on the
.217 griffin LDCs 19-21gr
.217 griffin XR LDC boat tail 24gr
.217 Javelin 21
.217 zan 20 and 23
.217 FX hybrids.
.217 griffin 23 cup base Hp

Please as you guys discover things that work well share your results.

I've stated before. But as of now the best shooters are:
#1VK .217 xlHP 22gr @, 895-905fps
#2 HN hp1 .217 21grs at 923.7fps
#3 AVS .217 22gr flat base 913.5fps

The "no go" are

.218 griffin LDCs 17-19
.218 HP slug 21 and 23
.217 AVS 20gr dish base
.218 Griffin hollow base 21gr

DACKS / GUN ZONE /MIDWEST GUNWORKS its close in price to a bullshark but recently has been gotten for 404 plus delivery.

my bullsharks keep up with the zelos s in accuracy, hell i like em both a lot

I've got the p35x. The Bullshark is the p35, the x just means longer barrel, wood stock, and 65cc power plenum. I like the p35x more than the zelos. I agree. I enjoy them more.

Ok. Just never seen the Zelos that cheap anywhere. That's a good deal.

I've done my experimenting. The winner is surprising.

1. FX HYBRID/RMR SLAP .22. Astounding accuracy from THIS gun.
2. 217 HP 21
3. 217 zan 23

Edit: 7 shots. The Javelin and hybrids were in the first round. These are the 35y results. Heading to oakwood now for 65 and maybe 85y results depending on where the horses are.

Got my shipment of Patriot Javelin Gen2 2 21gr 217s. Shot just as well as the HP slugs. HP have a (claimed) BC advantage of .008 .083 compared to .091. however the expansion of the javelin is far superior.

The outliera on the square bullseye was me mixing up windage hold dots on the bottom group and a crap half ass effort on the last shot of the top one (red circles) the gun was zero for HP slug. They did not share exact POI.

Both were using hashes and dots.

Gen2 jav 21s 217 at UA are 10.50 per pack right now.

Hybrids still best shooting slugs from the Zelos.
