Zut 25yd Iron Sights Challenge ;-)

I can only shoot at what i can see..lol
I guess i figured as long as the bullseye dot was about the same the rest dont matter like how i made the one i suggested above i edited it but the inner white ring "dot" remained to size i guess?

So with that even a blind man stands a chance to score a good group or scote or whayer the goal here😇

I dont have a 25y rack but i hung up at 30y.. used the poor ol gamo .22 and the new cphp" airpower" they aint the old premiers anymore..lol

Anyway my awful attempt with that deal

That a 1-1/2 circle and a 1/4" bulls(fyi)
.

I don't mean to step on your toes but I've been having trouble with the file printing at full size and it's taking a lot of ink on the background. So I went ahead and made a pattern that seems to print out at the exact sizes and it's a little easier on my printer.

Those are VERY small aiming points for open sights at 25m! The circle should be aiming black with thin white lines defining the circles and edges of the diamond. Your exact same target but like a photographic negative.

After dinner I set up one of my original targets to test some FTT's So this is what I did

23 and 5 of Diamonds ;-) This target is harder to see. It doesn't have the contrast of the one Fixflinger made and we posted at the top of the thread.

I don't want this to be a test of eyesight, but of shooting ability. I like idea badger5th has by using the negative of the target. I don't have the skill to do this, so if Fixedflinger wouldn't mind, maybe he could make that happen.

Cheers

I'm thinking target "G" is the closest to what has been described. I can update the pattern with any of these just let me know what looks best.

As far as the challenge goes, I've had nothing respectable to post up yet. I've been jumping for joy if I shoot less than 5 zeros LOL.

Excellent work!!

Well to be honest, I am getting used to the diamond. It has a little less area and would be just a tad harder to hit. What do you think of "F"

Yea I think F with the diamond looks good. There is a typo on that sample page, last target was supposed to be "H".

Here is my contribution on a 2" black bull which is essentially a 50 yard standard rimfire target reduced for shooting at 25 yards. Didn't see any reason to get creative. Center ring is 1/2". Gave me a reason to pull the scope off my Sport and shoot like a man for a change. Shooting open sights really is a lot of fun if you haven't tried it lately. And accuracy can be very good when light conditions are optimum.

It was a little breezy this morning so I broke out some heavier pellets. This is a fun game I love it, very challenging. Zut one thing you might consider is scoring all 12 targets instead of throwing out two. It’s a lot harder disguarding ones than zerosView attachment 286889View attachment 286889
Nice shooting UncleB,
Well if you had ten Diamonds and then a few flyers or a few 2's, you would not have the perfect score. ;-) I kinda like taking a mulligan or two. LOL

I am really enjoying open sights. When I got the HW77, I made up a target from some Birchwood Casey I had. I tried to copy the idea of the 30 yard challenge and adjusted the target to fit the page well. That's about as creative as I got. Fixedflinger got creative! Yours works well looks like, nice shooting.

Ya, it sure made that scope on a springer chase go away..lol. To be honest i prefer opensight . Money i was spending on busted scopes now go towards mo' pellets😉.... Ill edit back with my try later i forgot to take picture . Duaaa...

R9-177cphp, 30y ( the WL ones are washed and lubed the top i assume too much lube wl2 at bottom rebuffed dry) the test ate stright out of the tin as is . Also my wind condition

Wow looking real good. I've never washed or lubed my pellets. To lazy I guess. I can't get consistent groups with the CPHP's. I should try them again.

Yep, I ordered a new scope for the Hw77. I haven't mounted it. Been really enjoying open sight too.

Cheers
