Nice! I gave it another shot today but didn't improve my score. I just can't bring myself to take the scope off of one of my big guns.

Still though, there is just something very "zen" about open sights, I have been enjoying it.

I can't shoot my HW50 as accurate anywhere near as well as my HW77. The weight of the 77 just keeps me much more steady. It's been to windy the last few days to shoot. Getting bored cleaning barrels!

i just happen to have handy a similar target of recent.
daisy 753 (.177, ~450FPS) single-stroke "pumper". 10M match gun.
happens most of what i shoot matches specs with this challenge.
BR@25Y, folding tripod front, no rear support, diopter sights. #NOSCOPE

love shooting this quiet and super-accurate plinker, but the wind has to be ZERO.


RWS MK 8.2gr wadcutters, red stickers are 1/2".
i haven't tried scoring yet, since i didn't use the official target.

wish i could get just a bit more FPS out of that 753. i shoot it more than my break-barrels now.
i guess technically it's still a springer tho' huh?

Using a gun I just received yesterday.

I've had really good luck with the 753. But the slightest wind at 25Y makes every pellet I've tried fly off. Even flip in the air.
Let us know, well, me at least hehe, which pellet you find works best for you at 25Y with that rifle?

PS, just some friendly unsolicited advice....
of many many test, I've never found ANY gamo ammo to be better than even the cheapest of other brands.
for that gun, of the dozen+ i've tried, RWS MK 8.2gr wadcutters do the best overall for my 10M, 15M and 25Y #backyardplinking.
25Y dime shots all day long until a bird flies by or something.

I ended up getting one without the LW barrel that I wanted, and then a few days later I found one with the LW barrel listed for around 300. Eventually I may also get that one. I love how quiet and smooth it fires.

I'm going to set the gamo's aside and go though all the old tins that I have and see what happens.
