I’m planning on a detailed review of this fine airgun ~ .22 American Air Arms HPS (High Power Slug). My first impressions, it’s top notch in about every way.
- Really sweet trigger (right from the box)
- Impressive regulator
- Effective factory moderator
- Tough, tough, tough build
- Love the 40 MOA rail (edited as I was informed it's 40 and not 50)
- Great magazine
- High fill pressure w/ both reservoir gauge and regulator gauge
- TJ barrel that is tensioned (1:18)

I began with shooting the 28gr ZANs. Right out of the box it’s producing 960 fps ~ 57 FPE. Accuracy was good. I’ve ordered more slugs to try. I’ve seen video of another HPS shooting the 25.39gr JSB RDMs very good as well
