Eliminator III LaserScope

I have one, but not on an airgun. (a rimfire powder burner). Don't know if it would work. I think you could get it to work, but if buying only for an airgun, I'd check with Burris. If you get one, you need to get the Eliminator III with the remote button. That's the one I have, and you can enter ballistic info starting with a 50 yd (previous version were 100 yd only) zero.

This scope won't work as intended for an air rifle. The magic that happens with this scope is based on the cartridge's ballistic curve....

To get the scope to work correctly you would have to "zero" @ 50 yrds then enter the drop (inches) @ 200yrds. Unfortunately, you're restricted to 2 digits. Y0xx. Y = yards, 0 = 50yrd zero, xx = bullet drop at 200yrds. I just did a quick an dirty ballistics calc and a .22 pellet will drop ~300 inches at that distance.

Here are the manuals:

The only reason I know all this, is b/c my dad just picked one up for his .308.

It's too bad Burris doesn't tweak their software for us Airgunners. I sent them my shooting specs: .25 cal, 25.4G at 905 FTS. Their reply was "You will not be able to use that particular load with the Eliminator III. The bullet must stay below 90 inches of drop at 250 yards, and your bullet drops 109 inches".

It seems like I'm so close to their requirements.
